I do love Kohn's as a dinner option as they do have some VEGAN options on the menu. The P'Funk Roll and the Mighty Veggie Roll were both tasty and artfully composed on the plate (but very small in size and content - so not really "entree" level items for the hefty price -- $15.95 for P'Funk and $12.95 for the Veggie Roll). I was a bit disappointed that the Veggie Spring Rolls were deep fried almost beyond taste, if they were pulled out a little earlier I bet they would have been lovely. I'm hopefully that Kohn's keeps updating and expanding their vegan options as there are not many vegan option places around Pensacola. I can't in good conscience give 5 stars on this review as the server was almost manically jittery that night and had to leave mid service, handing us off to another server (although it felt like the former was rushing us to finish up and leave - kind of unsettling to be honest), and also because of the spring roll and price issues noted above. Overall, Kohn's is a great option for dinner as they are located in the heart of the downtown. We took our non-vegan friends along with us and there is plenty on the normal menu that ensured that our guests would have plenty of options to suit their tastes as well.

Service was good and food tasted good, although they were clearly understaffed and the food took forever to come out. The staff is extremely kind and professional so my rating has nothing to do with them. The food made both me and my husband feel ill about 30 minutes after eating and then made me extremely ill after we got home. It was the only meal we both had that was shared that day so it was definitely from this place. Because we were waiting so long, I’m not sure if something hadn’t been stored properly or if my sushi sat out for too long or even what particular dish caused the illness. Besides the illness, overall the experience was okay. Glad we tried it, was nice but probably wouldn’t have come back for a second time even if it hadn’t made me sick. It may not have been anything with the way the food was prepared, sometimes things get contaminated through no fault of the people preparing it, but it was unpleasant nonetheless. Besides this, we wish the menu indicated which dishes contained spice. Everything tasted good but we didn’t realize quite how spicy the udon entree would be. Won’t be returning but hopefully others have a different experience.

I love Khon's!!! I used to come here all the time when I was craving sushi - they have amazing sushi! After going carb free I was so sad I couldn't have sushi anymore. The other day when I was really craving Asian food I decided to go anyways and see if I could modify something on the menu so that I could eat it. I ordered the vegetable stir fry and asked them to replace the rice with cabbage and add chicken. The waiter said it wouldn't be a problem to do that, and let me tell you it was delicious! I got a huge bowl of stir fried cabbage and other vegetables and chicken, I didn't even miss the rice! The waiter was so accommodating and I definitely didn't feel like I was burdening them by requesting something special. The atmosphere in the restaurant is really nice and I love to sit at the bar at the window because downtown Pensacola is so pretty in the evenings. I'm so glad I can keep coming here even with diet restrictions.

From the moment we walked into Khon’s, we knew we were in for a treat, but little did we know that our server, Ashley, would elevate our dining experience to a whole new level!

Ashley greeted us with a warm and genuine smile, making us feel welcomed and valued right away. She showcased an impressive knowledge of the menu, providing insightful recommendations that catered perfectly to our diverse preferences and dietary restrictions. Her passion for the restaurant's offerings was contagious, and we couldn't help but be excited to try everything she suggested.

Not only was Ashley attentive and responsive to our needs throughout the entire meal, but she also anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. She ensured our drinks were always full, our table was neat and tidy, and that each course arrived in perfect timing. Her attention to detail was second to none.

What truly set Ashley apart was her ability to connect with us on a personal level. She shared stories about the restaurant's history, the origins of certain dishes, and even threw in a few delightful anecdotes that had us laughing and enjoying our time even more. It felt as if we were being served by a dear friend rather than a server we had just met.

To top it all off, Ashley’s recommendations were spot-on. Each dish was a culinary masterpiece, bursting with flavors that danced on our palates. Her suggestion to try the chef’s special was particularly memorable, showcasing a bold and innovative take on traditional cuisine that we would have never chosen ourselves but were so glad we did.

As we left Khon’s, we couldn’t help but feel a sense of gratitude for the exceptional service provided by Ashley. She didn’t just serve us food; she provided us with an experience that we will cherish and talk about for a long time to come. Khon’s is lucky to have such a dedicated and outstanding member on their team.

If you find yourself at Khon’s, do yourself a favor and ask for Ashley. You’ll be in for a dining experience that is nothing short of amazing. Thank you, Ashley, for making our...

We've lived in P'Cola for some time now & we've always wanted to go to Khon's. We saw that they are now open for brunch. We were excited not only to experience Khon's but to also take our friend who is visiting from Italy. We had a table of four & it took an hour to get our sushi even though there were only two other couples seated at the bar. One couple in particular was very loud & kept looking our way. The female of that couple at one point screamed, & I mean screamed that she was the assistant manager. I believed this to be true when she got up & walked behind the bar even tho she was clearly not scheduled for the day. I assumed this because she was was wearing a sweat top with baggy gray sweat pants & she was clearly intoxicated. Her & her companion were incredibly loud. We were seated in the back away from the bar & we had a hard time conversing due to how loud they were...the entire hour & a half meal. At one point they both got up to use the bathroom & when they were gone it was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. The other staff members were dressed like they had just rolled out of bed & they were just as loud & unruly as the off duty "assistant manager" & her guest. The gentleman that made our sushi was joking around with his co-workers the entire time...I assume that's why our food took so long. Towards the end of our meal the same gentleman came up to us mid conversation & screamed in my husband's ear about the score of a Texans game. He said he assumed he wanted to know because my husband was wearing a Texans hat. We are very disappointed with our time at Khon's. We have heard so many good things & seen so many great photos of their sushi online. This experience was not up to par for the $200+ meal that we paid for. Our waitress did mention that the new Khon's brunch hours were due to having new management. It seems though that the new management has come up with this great brunch idea but has left the employees to run the restaurant as they see fit. I hope the dining experience is better for the...

Although I’ve eaten at Kohn’s several times over the last few years, today I had an elevated experience as the recent remodel and menu overhaul added a dimension of mystique that put a smile on my stomach. As I walked in, I felt a warm and cozy vibe that prepared me for what was to come. The staff was very attentive and intuitive to what I didn’t even know that I needed. After a brief conversation with Emma, the bartender, I felt confident in her ability to decide for me what it was that I should indulge in for today’s lunch. As I usually eat things slower than me, I gave her an open invitation to fill my belly with what she felt were the things that I would love. Thanks to Emma for teeing the ball up to the plate and thank you to Chef Andrew Suthers for knocking it outta the park. I’m not even a baseball fan but this analogy fits the bill. I cleansed my palate, with one of the beers on tap, the Ghost Train O-Bomb Sour. I hit the ground running with two of the Tapas. The Crispy Duck Spring Rolls and the Thai Ceviche were a combination that gave me what I was looking for. What the Duck?! Warm and cuddly were those spring rolls. The duck confit gave me the yummy fat that my belly needed. The ceviche was super fresh and almost flopped off the plate as I approached with my chopsticks. Luckily, my skills are intact and I was determined. The flavors became one in my mouth as the heat, crunch, and clean performance ended in a crescendo that equated to yumminess. The fat from the duck and the freshness of the seafood equalled….i need a nap to think about this. Overall, the atmosphere, the people, the food, becomes the experience. Isn’t that what you are really coming for? These guys were intuitive and told me what I needed before I could express it. THAT is service. As a professionally trained butler, I can say that. Great job to Kohn’s for giving me more than what I...
