The Rex has the best vibe and, in my opinion, the best coffee in town!

Lois (the manager) is a kindhearted Frenchman who cares deeply about both his customers and his coffee. He’s incredibly passionate about his coffee and always happy to talk beans and their origin stories. Marlie is pure joy - full of energy, always smiling, and has an adventurous spirit that keeps things fun and fresh. Isaiah is a true coffee guru, diving deep into his craft and bringing that knowledge to every cup. Mychaela is kind, easygoing, and always brings good energy - she’ll brighten your day without even trying. Shanan is bubbly and dedicated, making sure your coffee tastes amazing and looks like art. Eriyonna is The Rex’s resident beach soul - super chill, super friendly, and totally on top of her game. And Sydney? Nothing but smiles - be warned, it’s infectious!

I recently did a coffee flight down Palafox and had this place on my list!

Atmosphere: Located at an old movie theater, this coffee shop brings an old Hollywood movie vibe to life! They even have a little, secluded sitting area on the side by the windows which gives a bit of privacy and coziness. Service: The barista who was there the day I went was friendly and helped me choose from their current specialty drinks. Menu items: I had there small Biscoff Latte and loved it!

The Rex Cafe is a really cool space in Pensacola. A really well designed space that is elegant and upscale feeling, and a space you'll enjoy sitting for a long spell with coffee and maybe a good book. However, wow, the prices will make it not a good place for an every morning coffee stop. Prices for a regular size black coffee are 25% higher than already high-priced coffee at that chain coffee shop where the Star shines, and the coffee costs big Bucks.
