We definitely caught an attitude from the staff from entry until almost leaving. It was 9pm and the 2 employees at the front took at least 2 minutes to greet us while they finished talking, then said hi and told us it would be just a minute so we sat down to wait but my kid was "bored" so I plugged a $5 into their claw machine but by this time they were ready to seat us. Apparently I took too long so he just walked away. I was confused by this since it was only maybe 30 seconds from him saying something and him walking off but another employee walked over and told us we could sit wherever we wanted to. We saw the menus the original guy placed and sat down there. The guy that told us we could sit anywhere came right behind us with menus then saw we had them and he asked "is this an everyday thing?" I said "is what an everyday thing?" Apparently he was talking about my hair color? I was kind of taken back. What does that mean? I presume that they thought that we were poor white trash because of our appearance after that question so they treated us like that. We were very courteous, besides taking too long at the claw machine when they were ready to seat us, we didn't do anything rude to deserve that kind of treatment. The server was very short and not friendly while taking our order but the food was absolutely amazing, it was on point, everything was cooked well and it came out very fast. The server brought water for me and my son without us needing to ask for it since I got coffee and my son had a smoothie. That was awesome. At the end I went to pay the bill, it was $45. I gave the server a $50 bill plus a $10 and $5. Told him to keep the change as his tip. (Roughly 50% gratuity) He looked at me then looked at the tip. Asked if I was sure. Of course. He thanked me graciously. Pay it forward. On a Side note I have been blessed with a 6 figure salary but in the past I've been that server, relying on tips, so I always tip well. My advice, don't judge a book by its cover. My son is 5, he was messy, it was my day off so I was in yoga pants with flip flops and have neon pink hair, my partner just got out of work so none of us were looking great but sometimes it's too late to cook and other restaurants are closing or closed. I work the graveyard shift so Denny's is our go to spot. We drove out of our way to this Denny's location because they have great reviews and the one closer to our house is kinda hit or miss for food quality and always smells like a sewer but their servers know us by name and treat my son like gold. This Denny's smelled great btw. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the uncalled for attitude that we received from two male employees that seemingly judged us by our appearance. we will be back. Hopefully on our next visit we get a little bit friendlier service but the food was exceptional and besides the comment and very unfriendly table side it was amazingly fast comfort food I needed. Which at the end of the day is more important than...
Read moreMy family (which consisted me, wife, sister in law and our 2 kids ages 6 and 2) decided instead of cooking a huge dinner for Thanksgiving we decided to go to Dennys because we have heard they have a good Turkey dinner. We get there and it wasn't as crowded but we noticed the staff seemed very upset and were not happy. The server seats us and it took a several minutes to get our drinks order which is fine because the server was serving other tables there. We ordered our food, when we got our food this is when the issue came My sister in law ordered a grand slam burger which has an egg, but when she received it, it didn't have it, we requested an egg and our server seemed very annoyed and pissed off. Next our children ordered chick straps dinner but when received one of the tenders was not fully cooked, we asked the server to make a new one. They also forgot their garlic bread that came with it. Then My wife and I ordered the turkey dinner, she ordered it with no stuffing but when she received it, it came with stuffing. The turkey and mashed potatoes were very Luke warmed and mediocre at best. But the server forgot to give us our bread and cranberry sauce which came with it. We can tell she was annoyed at this point. My family were very disappointed with the service at this point, I can understand a mistake here or there but there were a ton of mistakes plus the shitty attitude of the staff. We got the manager and express our disappointed to her and explain the problem, she decided to take 20 bucks off our check which was fine (bill was originally 74 bucks but manager took 1 turkey dinner off and our new bill was 54 bucks). But then the grand finale that ticked us off was when we went to pay, we wanted to split our bill on 2 different card, the manger who we talked too told us to talk to the cashier, the cashier did not know how to split the check and got confused and then decided to ask manager when she returned she gave us THE ORIGINAL BILL (one bill 34 while the other was 40) because she threw away the bill the manager took 20 bucks off. At this point I was furious and I was not paying the full price of what they said (74 bucks) Our discount bill cost 54 bucks, so we paid partially the 40 dollars, then suddenly right after we partially payed the server pulled the card readwe machine and broke the machien, and we we waited 5 minutes for them to fix it. They finally said they will take the rest off and told us not to worry about it. We then left.
I usually don't write reviews like this and I actually like Dennys, but this location made me and my family very disappointed and we will not be returning to this location. The staff needs training in customer service and while I get it's Thanksgiving and no other place is open this doesn't give you the excuse to be snippy and rude. SEriously do not go to...

You know....Anyone that knows Dennys collectively knows they struggle greatly in the exceptional service area, still, many of us have been willing to patronize locations for years. This is true for me and this location. Never was A1 but enough to get my busines quite often. Primarily un the evening and night. Ironically, there's always 2 or 3 workers and this location seems to function well during these hours but that's TBD. There's also a "fan" favorite worker..I believe his name is "Rick". He's gonna trip me for forgetting his name lol! He's wonderful to everyone! Then we have the swing shift, which I got a taste of today. At first glance, there's at least 5-6 waitresses. Two women at the front standing gossiping while I waited to be seated for far too long when hostesses are available. Then my supposed server who turned out to be the Manager who never acknowledged my existence even though she checked on the table behind me and told the hostess where to sit me. Lastly, a seemly sweat elderly Indian woman who didn't realize I'm literally watching her make a snark remark to her co-worker before she turned around to help me. My intentions were to pay for my coffee and leave. Eventually, the general manager comes up and I'm able to share my experience and while standing there two women that came in maybe 5-10 mins prior to our conversation leaves without ordering. Which the GM notices while we're talking and shares she's embarrassed. I was offered some coupons for my trouble and they covered the coffee. I left those coupons right there! I don't need a deal on food from Dennys. I need for the GM to put proper people in place to manage her location(s). The manager is an extension of the DM! Unfortunately, these are tuff times and finding strong workers is difficult. I understand but still. Ultimately, I appreciate the GM speaking with me. We both spoke to each other with respect and decorum. I'm still wondering will I ever return. Who knows! If I do, only the night crew for me. I was asked about eating by one of the waitresses and I mentioned I will go over to IHOP and get treated a little bit better and that's what I did and was greeted and treated properly! IHOP can be slightly higher in price but I will always pay for...
