Service was a little slow, but the restaurant was packed. Our server was awesome, and despite how busy it was, he took great care of us, and I am sure all of his tables. The food was not great, but it was not bad either. They changed the coconut shrimp to coconut shrimp bites, and they were not bad, but in my opinion, they are nowhere near as good as the original whole butterfly cut coconut shrimp. The Walts Shrimp were also not had but it seemed like they sat in a warmer for a while because the coating was just warm and a little soft and were by no means fresh and crispy as they should be. I understand that when they are busy, they probably make a large batch, and then they sit until they are all used, which would cause the shrimp to be like that. So, all in all, I can not say anything was horrible, which I am not trying to say at all because the service was great, and as stated, the food was not bad, but it was not as good as I would have expected to pay 80 bucks for for two people to have dinner. OH, and one other thing, they seemed to have also changed the recipe for the stuffing for the seafood stuffed mushrooms. I have ordered them many a time, and they are always one of my favorites, but tonight, there was NO seafood in the stuffing, and the stuffing was weirdly mushy and not very good and if there was seafood in it I sure as heck could not see it! Overall, I can not say this was a horrible experience, but it will definitely be one of the least memorable for sure. Also, as I stated above, our server was great, and for a busy as it was, he still too hrest care...
Read moreHey Red Lobster... its been 3 years since I stopped in but I always order the same thing... Crab Alfredo. This evening was no different... yet it was VERY different.
I swear this meal came with a salad. Have you stopped offering a salad with this meal? At $21 a plate you would think I would get a baked potato and a salad. What is up?
No biscuits before our meal? WTH. No biscuits with our meal?
No fresh ground pepper offered. Did you stop that too?
The two plates of Crab Alfredo are served and we have our two drinks. I open my silverware napkin and there is no spoon to swirl my linguini on. Geez! Now I wonder how long our waitress will take to come back around. The napkin, although white, reminded me of the blue paper towels at the gas station. You know... the ones next to the squeegee to wash your windows. It was rough and every time I wiped my mouth my mind flashed to a gas station. Mercy! What happened Red Lobster?
I was 1/3 of the way finished with my meal before I could ask for a spoon. It was at least 10 minutes before she came back with my spoon. My husband saw Lisa put it on another person's table. When she passed our table again she says, "Oh yeah your spoon." When she brings me my spoon I am half finished with my plate. My husband asks about the biscuits. She says, "Oh I forgot, I'm new." We had about three bites left of our meals when we were served our biscuits. Lord!
Red Lobster, you saved yourself from a 2 star rating only because your food was hot and delicious.
For $53+ tip, I...

My lovely wife had a favorite of ours Salmon New Orleans. It was awful , the sauce had so much black pepper I gagged , and the salmon was a burned up dried out shingle. The Salmon dish was immediately taken off the bill, I feel because they knew it was bad. ! I had endless shrimp , the only thing endless was the wait for the plate to arrive. Our server kept trying to apologize . We spent 25 minutes waiting for the shrimp to come . My poor wife was so grossed out by the Salmon , she lost her appetite. I wanted to share my shrimp , but it took so long to get ,we were ready to leave long before it even arrived. Our kids had chicken strips , batter was falling off and chicken was dry . Other kid had a hamburger , waited for ever , it was dry and resembled a hockey puck. Once again our server was falling all over her self to apologize. She was the only thing about this visit that was functional. After requesting a manager , we were told they will be here in a moment . Never came . This is not a typical visit , we have liked dining at Red Lobster for years. But lately there just seems to be a " don't give a damn" attitude. Red Lobster used to be a go to for us , Not this...
