El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Peoria

The food is good however the portions are kind of small. We made the mistake of ordering our food to be dine in, and as we later found out they serve you to food on a plate and your side dishes are half the size they would be if you took the food to go. The wings have almost no meat on them and the thighs are much smaller than any other company that I know of but the food definitely tastes good there just needs to be more of it. If we weren't using coupons that were providing a decent discount it would not be worth going there at all. It seems to take them forever to put your food on a plate and hand it to you I think it took them about 3 minutes to put the chicken on a plate and then it sat there for another three or four minutes and they finally decided to scoop a side onto the plate, but I guess there was some glitch finding the second salad for our meal so it all set there for another minute or two getting cold while they found a salad. It even took forever to place the order at the beginning even though there was nobody in line whatsoever the people were just running around. There is basically one guy taking the orders and filling the orders and three other employees basically watching him do his work. It was very frustrating because what should have been a minute and a half process took almost 15 minutes just to get our food from the time we walked in...

50/50 chance, whether or not your order will be correctly. We’ve had issues previously, when my BF has ordered a double chicken avocado tostada, where we got no avocado, no tostada, etc. We usually just agree to put it behind us, because only 1 of our 2 meals would be wrong/messed up somehow But tonight? Y’all had ONE job. The ONE meal we ordered tonight, instead of our usual duo—And ya STILL couldn’t do it right? Call me a Karen all ya want. I’ve worked FF before, for years. I can call y’all out for this disrespectful white meat 🤡 THREE positions, either failed to read/quality-check, OR, THREE positions failed to communicate. Speaker/Back-Booth did her job PERFECTLY—Repeated our ONE MEAL order back to us 100% ACCURATELY! The problem lies then, where somehow, NOBODY felt it necessary to either A. Inform the paying customer that supply of dark meat has just run out! Therefore—‘Is there something else we could get you?’ Or even worse, B. Simply LOOK at what you’re packing up! Pollo Loco -Received coupon in the mail -Ordered 16 piece family meal for $30, with three sides: -mac and cheese -rice -mashed potatoes and gravy -2 corn/8 flour tortillas With sides of: -green salsa (hot) -roja salsa (fiery) -mild salsa -cilantro dressing -churros

-Bag didn't look like much but was very heavy, obviously had a lot of food in it. -The order was 100% correct -Everything was super hot when it got home. (Still very warm after sitting on the counter for 20 minutes) -chicken pieces seemed on the small side, but we're cooked well and tasted great -while the chicken was hot it was really good. As it cooled down it got very dry. -roja salsa (fiery) was definitely smokey and spicer than I expected! I misread the description. My God this is painfully spicy and I like spice! -mild salsa was standard mild salsa -green salsa was very good and had an after spice (only one I would need in the future) -cilantro dressing tasted like fresh, creamy cilantro -tortillas were all individually wrapped, fresh, and nice and warm. -would have liked an option to switch tortillas out for chips or another side as we are not huge tortilla eaters -for the price, if you are going to eat it while It's fresh, it is worth it. -next time I'd order less with no plans...
