As the story goes I've been living in the greater Peoria area for over 6 years-Hold the applause-and been hearing about this place practically since I got here! Past by it constantly and put it on the things to do list! Well, that opportunity came, and I took the wife and the rest was an experience we'll never forget! This place at best is an example of how not to run a kitchen or conduct a dinner service! Waited over 45 minutes for a thin crust disaster-paper thin and not done crust-made me sick later, horrible toss salad-cheap lettuce with stale cheese, and the ugliest decorating I have ever seen! Took me back to a cheap reboot of 1976 with that Tree!! Although the Pizza Cheese was decent, the rest of the Pizza was terrible. Sauce was tasteless with an over dose of salt, and I can't believe I ate I ate this without saying something-was just hungry after a long week I guess! Bottom line, I'll pass, and want to congratulate the owner in that this was the first time I ever saw my wife spit out food and tell me she had to leave!! The good news being that I could hear my Father echo " You can't make good wine with bad Grapes!" I think that statement speaks for itself across the board! Final thought, I have never been catatonic for a few moments after I have visited a place but DING DING!! Consider this visit a...

Well this is my first experience at Leonardo's/La gondola . Very busy they had several groups. Totally disorganized, it was like fighting to get a table. There was no one to see you, you are on your own. Heard the lady with the large group complaining that why did they even call. But they were taken care of. Everything went well with her large group. I don't think I have ever, had to go grab a table that was still dirty just making sure we got a table. They really should have someone form a line. And see you so you don't have to worry about not getting a table. When they have large groups. Pizza head potential, it does not have sauce. And there's a deep pan and you're relying on the tomatoes to break down. If it just had a little more of that it would have been very flavorful instead of just being so-so. I will definitely try them again when they're not so busy. Again I think they have 13 still on having a delicious pizza if it is just a little more time taken to it and get the proper balance so when you're not using sauce it has flavor. Price for the medium deep pan and one soft drink was...

Very cool atmosphere and decor. The garlic bread is great! Reminds me of a place in my college town, just a tad sweet, with plenty of garlic flavor. However, the menu is lacking considerable detail... I can't eat red meat, such as beef and pork, basically any mammal. My body rejects it, just like having a food allergy. So I asked if the ravioli and tortellini was beef or cheese (the 2 most common fillings) and the cashier said the ravioli was beef, while the tortellini was cheese. So my wife ordered the ravioli dinner and I the tortellini dinner. Didn't even know what it came with until it came to the table, since the menu didn't say. It came to us in pretty good sized plates, with salad and garlic bread, and red sauce. I love red sauce. Unfortunately, I wasn't told the sauce... would have meat in it. Even though I clearly asked and ordered the dish that would NOT have meat. So I had to settle for salad and garlic bread for dinner, while we will take the tortellini home for my wife to enjoy tomorrow. Guess we will be paying for an extra dinner somewhere else on...

Visited this location based on word of mouth suggestions. Vey easy to find with plenty of parking available. Also, there’s a drive up window to pick up orders from, which is a convenience. After dining in here, the best way to describe the experience would be that it’s a couple of notches above a fast food establishment. You walk in and immediately order at the counter. All ware is disposable including a cup to get your own fountain drink. You give them your name and a server brings it out to you. There is no waiter making rounds and you clean up after yourself. The establishment is decorated uniquely and is quite small on the inside. You can tell this place would be a favorite among locals. Unfortunately the food was below par. The presentation is completely missing the mark here, as you will see in the pictures. And honestly the food just didn’t leave any kind of impression. How the lasagna was presented really finalized my review. With that being said, I would not return to this establishment at this location.

First time actually being in Peoria and was introduced to go to this restaurant by a friend that lived there for a good 2 decades. The ravioli dinner is what I selected. Nothing really much to say about the salad. It's just a normal salad. But the ravioli is something else. You can easily tell it wasn't just frozen reheated as I would have expected. Someone was back there making it. It was flavorful and not bland. They gave me way more sauce than I need which went well with the garlic bread. The garlic bread was so buttered up and soft that I wish I had an entire loaf to myself. I also got to try their pizza. They definitely spent time making and didn't just throw that together. The aromas of the different cheese in a plain cheese pizza made every bite mouth watering. I need to go back and eat the rest of the menu!
