I have been a regular (several times a week) customer of the Taco Bell on Peoria and 67th Avenues for well over a decade. Today was the ABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE I have ever experienced at any Taco Bell. Don't know if she is still there, but there was a manager who had short dark hair who was there for years who was absolutely fabulous - as was her staff. Too bad if she's not with that location anymore. A big loss to Taco Bell for sure. Today's experience could not have been worse. When in line at the drive through placing my order (and no order is ever less than close to or exceeding $50), I let the customer service staff member know that two five layer burritos were left out of my order yesterday evening and asked if they would please not charge me for the burritos today since I didn't get what I paid for yesterday. A manager came on the speaker and asked if I had called and registered a formal complaint and I said no, that I knew I was coming tonight and thought it would be better to just tell them in person (as I have done in the past when food has been omitted or prepared incorrectly and have received a very nice response each and every time and things were made right). Who knew that you couldn't just go in person to let them know they forgot food - you have to call them first! Seems kind of incomprehensible to me. The female manager was not at all nice about it either - very curt and ABSOLUTELY NO APOLOGY for having left off the food I paid for. Really kind of unbelievable. As I was reviewing the food to make sure it was correct tonight, I saw lettuce on an item that shouldn't have it and gave it to the young man asking that it be remade. The manager then came to the window, told me in no uncertain terms that I could not give food back to them and that she scolded her staff for even taking the food back from a customer and then proceeded to tell me that there was no lettuce on it and that she had taken a picture of it to prove that point. Seriously? Why would I want to return something to be remade that wasn't made improperly in the first place only to have the rest of my food get cold waiting? What would be the point of that? She then told me that I was being rude when I told her that I had seen lettuce. I responded that perhaps she didn't see it, but I did and we would just have to agree to disagree as to whether there had been lettuce on the food item. She then slammed the drive through window with great force while I was still talking. Today's experience was absolutely beyond the pale of poor customer service and, while it will pain me to have to drive further to another Taco Bell to get my family's food - I will NEVER EVER visit that Taco Bell again. I certainly hope this kind of treatment of loyal, long-time customers who have literally spent thousands of dollars over the years is not indicative of Taco Bell's approach to customer service. Shame on that female manager! She clearly needs retraining on the correct way to handle customer issues. Right now, she is absolutely clueless in...
Read moreThis location is horrible. The customer service is lacking big time. The employees are lazy and have no communication. We hardly eat fast food but like most sometimes you just want it. Sadly, when we go it's this location closest to us and no matter the different managers your tell 3 to 6 months between, while "giving it another try" it just doesn't change or even bother them. Called the corporate number just to be told sorry. That was it. Sorry for your experience. What else can we do. Um alright. Clearly the issue isn't just store level, it comes from the top. Sad this location was redone and looked good, but it's always dirty and with the service the way it is, it was a total waste of funds. The food presentation is terrible, hald the toppings on a Taco are missing. Last burrito I got had more beans on the outside the inside. And when we ordered chips, they got 3 in the package the rest were just dumped all over the bag as I watched the kid throw them in because he was angry I asked for the chops I paid for. At first I just tried to be nice and say excuse me, we didn't get the chips we ordered. He said yes you did, I was like well I'm standing here, I opened the bag at the counter to check, he said check again. So I did, another lady walks over looks and said oh ok where did they go, I said I didn't even walk away. I'm still in the same spot, there are no chips, kid got mad threw them in a different bag. I said thanks now who's the manager. Guess what, it was the kid throwing the chips. Just petty. So then I asked for our drink cups we had asked for 3 times, and my kids frozen drink, he said they don't have frozen drinks. As I'm looking at 3 on the Uber eats pick up shelf. So I said fine just give us an extra soda cup, he said we charge for those. So I said ok, well then refund my frozen drink and charge me for a soda. Turned out I still was up on that, which I knew and was willing to eat it but since he was rude I made him refund it. Soda machine had 3 or 4 sodas out, I mentioned to the older lady there and she said yea, the manager knows already, she was sorry but nothing she could do. This was the most recent visit. 2 months ago. I made calls and not a...
Read moreJust realized staff was probably rude because it was closing time, I guess. I was actually ordering for a Lyft customer of mine, so when they handed me the food and I asked for the receipt, the worker said "it's in the box and shut the window" So, my customer wanted something else, so I drove around again and instead of hearing, "Welcome to Taco Bell, can I take your order?" I heard "If you're ordering anything with beef, we're out." I think someone wanted to go home, lol. No problem, I backed out and left. When I delivered the food to my customer, I just let them know to be sure there was beef in their first order and told them I couldn't do their add on order because Taco Bell ran out of beef :) I wish that worker would have just said they were closing, the first time around, without shutting the window in my face, then I wouldn't have had to drive back around and bother them, trying to order additional food, but no love lost, I never cared too much for Taco Bell anyway. I'm just sad because I really wanted to try one of their new lemonade drinks, but again, they weren't sure what I was talking about and not knowing what they were called, maybe it isn't even Taco Bell that has them. Guess I'll have to wait until I see another commercial, cuz I don't want to risk that window being shut in my face again. Don't worry Taco Bell, I have a very dry...
