Calls Drive In — Restaurant in Perry

It has always been our family tradition to go to Calls. Ever since Maddox took over, our positive experiences have stopped. Today, 8/24/23, is the last time we will go after 20 years of being regulars. We had two separate orders (6 adults, 5 kids). We had to wait along time for our food. We got half of the food after waiting a half an hour, waited 15 more minutes to get half of the drinks we ordered, another 15 minutes before we got the rest of the food and another 15 minutes for the rest of our drinks. Our Duane specials were all burnt. We showed the server and instead of saying sorry, she grabbed it and said she would get a new one. She acted mad at us. I cannot sing the praises of this place enough. So. Dang. Good. Burgers are pretty basic but really well done. Fries are great, love the season salt ones. The onion rings are some of the best I've had. Their root beer is so so good (very soft flavor). Shakes are also yummy as well.

And they have small kid sized burgers that are just a small burger! Like my kid is getting a good quality smaller version of what I ordered and not some weird "kid menu" attempt at a small burger.

Prices are all solid and so reasonable. The outdoor seating is picnic tables under a covered area and they're fairly standard. You can also be served in your car. The staff are all really nice.

This place is fantastic the giant Duane special was great and enough food to feed me 2 meals. You could easily share a burger with someone if you get a giant. The onion rings were nothing special next time I would get seasoned fries. My son got the chicken basket and said it was also really good and fed him 2x. My husband got the double giant burger and fries and also enjoyed it all. My son got lemonade, I got a fresh raspberry shake and my husband got fresh peach shake. All of it with tip was about 60 dollars I am absolutely prepared to go back and spend it again I was so impressed.
