My husband found this place as he drove home from work. 30 mins later, we were sitting outside on the lovely patio area. The waiter, Ricky, was a delight and very personable. Definitely trust him with any recommendations he gives. Awesome guy and came off genuine in his interactions. We met the owner/chef (I'm so sorry, I can't remember his name right now) and he was so sweet and so passionate about his restaurant. He does this for the love and it's obvious in the food, the atmosphere, and the service. You can tell that the staff is there because they are happy. The fact that he took time to come out and talk to us was a real treat and it solidified that this place will be a new favorite spot in the city.
Now about the food: We got the Labneh as an appetizer. A yogurt dish with olive oil, herb, with veggies and olives. The veggies are from outside of the US and they are full of flavor. It's been awhile that I've tasted a cucumber and tomato and thought "oh my, how refreshing". The yogurt is slightly sour and it's served with pita. REAL pita. Thin and tasty. Next, we both got the chicken shwarma with the homemade potato fries. The chicken was seasoned beautifully and I believe the fries were doubled fried so it's nice and crispy. I bit into the shawarma and flavors exploded in my mouth. Everything blended into a punch of flavor and I just wanted more.
They have a bar inside and outside and if you are a bourbon lover, this is your place. They have so many different options and Ricky and the owner... They are the experts on it. We didn't get to partake this time, but we will definitely be back. This review is long enough but I could go on and on. Stop by for the food but stay for the drinks and atmosphere. It is more for those of us who are locals and looking for relaxed fun. I have yet to see it on the weekends though. It is a pub but it's a chill vibe so keep it cool while you're there. All the staff speak to you and the want you to enjoy your experience. BE...
Read moreWe have eaten here once before right after they first opened and that experience we did enjoy, however, after trying to have our date night here tonight we were very disappointed to be sat and then not acknowledged for a solid 10 minutes. It appeared the staff was sitting at a long table all eating dinner together, but the restaurant was still fully open which was really strange. After that a lady from said table got up to give us menus and let us know the gentleman from the bar would be right over, but after another 5 minutes or so he did not come so we quietly left. Definitely a disappointment as we would’ve loved to have dined here again. We left and went to another local restaurant and enjoyed the service there. We wish luck to the rock yard and hope the customer service will...
Read moreWriting this review with a heavy heart. I’ve been a regular here since they opened; a big fan their chicken tawook and fries. Always tip well and I let a lot slide—I am a server at multiple restaurants in town. Today my order was off. It tasted sour or spoiled. Very bad. I called to let them know. I felt gaslighted and had to talk to everyone included the owner. No one believed me and they never offered to refund me.
Very frustrating and sad to see a business not take care of me after I have taken care of them for so long. Paid $17 and tipped $4.
There’s also no more dining inside anymore. The outdoor area is now enclosed and smoke is allowed and becomes very heavy. I stopped coming for nights outside a long time ago, but continued to come for Lebanese food. I won’t be coming at...
