10/6/24. Went with my son for a terrific breakfast. We had the kielbasa omelet and we shared pancakes. I think Comfort and Floyd is one of the best breakfast places in the city. Our omelets were made to perfection. Sara and staff are so pleasant and accommodating. Get there early and you won’t have a long wait.
4/29/23. I have not been here in a long while, but the place is still really nice from what I remembered. We sat at the counter, and My daughter had the pancakes and my son the waffles. I had the kielbasa omelet and I must say it is one of the best omelets I ever had. The food was served hot, and everything is made to order. Look forward to returning. Thank you Sara, Julia and the wonderful people who cooked our food. Delicious!
A small, quaint place to have a very nice breakfast or lunch. I had the 222, which is two eggs, two pancakes and 2 meats along with a cup of grits. Delicious! Recently visited Comfort & Floyd and wanted to add to my original review. The place gives you the sense of home. To me, it's vintage decor is very comfortable! Sara, our server, so pleasant and accommodating. Love a place where your server fills your water without asking and asks if you would like more coffee. We had an awesome breakfast. My omelet was cooked perfectly, my husband's pancakes filled the dish and the highlight...their homefries...I have to say, I think the best out of the many restaurants, I have been to. The potatoes were cooked just right, they were seasoned perfectly and the portion definitely feeds two people. Definitely a very nice place to have a great breakfast in a nice,...
Read moreDO NOT GO HERE. Extremely unprofessional service. We walked in at 11:20am and were told we would have a 50 minute wait for a party of 4. After 80 minutes, we noticed there were 3 outside tables empty and uncleared. We went in to check on the status of our table and were met with an attitude from the attendant, who told us “we could sit there if we liked.” Having been sitting on the street, this is obviously something we would want (they don’t even take phone numbers and notify you when the table is ready, you have to physically wait around). Apparently we were somehow meant to read her mind and know we could sit at these tables - she doesn’t “go around and ask people to raise their hand if they want to sit outside.” When I said we would sit and were on a bit of a time crunch, she rudely pointed out that we would need to wait an hour for our food. That is, an hour on top of the 80 minutes we had already been waiting. At this point and given the treatment we received, we decided to leave. A real waste of time and disrespectful encounter. Was very excited to try the food but certainly not worth it for this...
Read moreI always forget that this place is around the corner and glad I finally made my way out on a cold day 1/12/25. You walk in and put your name down on the list and it’s a small tight space so had to wait outside. Took maybe about 20 minutes and someone came out to get me as someone left to let me know I could wait inside from the cold.
Waited maybe about another 8 minutes and then was able to sit at the counter. Usually I always am a sucker for biscuits and gravy but had to go with the kielbasa omelette , added scrapple and got biscuit on side which comes with jelly. Biscuit was lightly dry on its own so the jelly helped.
The omelet was delicious on its own even without the scrapple which I loved. Had to add this to the biscuit for a full bite. Coffee is decent I forget what they have but I’ll definitely be back as this already is one of a fave spot for me when initially I was going to go with the tuna melt, I’m going to try to go thru 9 more items while maintaining my figure lol. Staff is nice and I won’t forget to...
