I placed a mobile order online and arrived to pick it up. I said my name and the person grabbed the bag. Before they could hand it over two employees started yelling “take off your hood.” I was confused, and before I could respond more employees came over and started saying there’s a sign on the door saying you can’t have on a hood. I am Muslim and it is our holy month of Ramadan. As a woman I cannot be seen without a head covering in public. My hijab had gotten soaked in the rain earlier so I took it off in the car and just put my hood on to grab my food. I asked if I could just have my food and go, the employees continued to berate me insisting they would not give me my food unless I took my hood off. I eventually left with no food or refund issued as I now had four people yelling at me to take my hood off. This is not what I expect from an interaction that should have taken literally five seconds. The way I was spoken to was completely unprofessional. Ordered door dash then they gave the food to the wrong driver, the assigned driver showed up looking for our food and was told another driver picked it up. Over an hour of waiting and we don’t have our food. Driver called trying to tell us that they weren’t gonna remake the food that we have to cancel the order (even tho you don’t get refunded for the money you just spent on the food) I’m assuming they think we stole the food and wanted extra? We sent a picture of the “your driver is heading to you” with our drivers NAME (the person who was still at five guys figuring out where our food was) and saying that he was still at the address of five guys to our driver so they could show the employee we definitely did not receive our food. they could’ve simply remade the food but instead argued about it with us and had our driver even call door dash. Read moreFood is good, it's Five Guys. However, we have now twice in a row received the wrong order when getting delivery. Sure, the receipts had similar names. Mistakes happen. But twice in a row? Delivery also took almost an hour and a half this time. Figure out how to improve the delivery experience and stop wasting people's time and money.
EDIT: Deducted an additional star because the 2 times we tried to call to resolve this issue, they avoided speaking to us to get a refund. During the first call, the person on the line said the manager was out of the building and would be back in 10 minutes. After calling back well after that amount of time, the employee proceeded to put us on hold and came back to pretend to not have audio and get disconnected.
