Giovanni's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Love the food! The customer service leaves a bad taste in your mouth, but the food makes up for it. I will continue to go back because of the food, because it's hard to find good food in this area! But please prepare for the almost non existent customer service skills of the owner and staff, if you can get past that you will be pleased.

UPDATE! THIS RESTAURANT IS HORRIBLE! I HAVE BEEN VERY PATIENT WITH GIOVANNI IS THE MOST DISRESPECTFUL BUSINESS OWNER I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED IN MY LIFE. I ordered dinner for my family, because we didn't want to go out because my husband was sick. We ordered our food at 8:22. Pizza, wings, jalapeno poppers, cheese fries and we were told it would be an hour. We waited. At 10:34 to be exact, I called to inquire about our order I was told my order was out for delivery and it would be 20 mins. Mind you we paid for our food already almost $60 When the driver arrives with just the pizza and without the rest of my order, rudely I'm told by the driver call the restaurant he didn't have it after calling the restaurant almost 2 hours at this point I'm told " the driver forgot my bag and it would be another 20 mins because he had other deliveries to do" no sorry, no discount nothing. Mind you they already have my money 💰. I ask for Giovanni and rude as usual he states" do you want the food or what?" Oh let me say we never received the rest of our food. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE AT BEST, DOWN RIGHT DISPOSABLE AT WORST. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO WITH GRUBHUB, DOOR DASH OR UBEREATS YOU STAND A BETTER CHANCE. IM NO LONGER COMPROMISING ON CUSTOMER...

I order food from them almost every week. And lately idk whats going on last week the driver didnt have change for a 20 my order came to 21.00 he was given two 20's but didnt have change so he wanted to wait to give me the pizza drive all tje way back to the store to get change. I had to scrap up a dollar somewhere in ny house....

Today o ordered a chesseburger platter with a large pepperoni pizza ..( im calling after an hour of opening time) they sends a cold old pizza. They delievery is always fast but this didnt look anything like they pizza. It was cold and looked old. I called and the old guy who takes the order puts the cook on hes telling me he made the pizza today which i said i know they didnt... he like what u want me to do... i saod nothing then i wont order here again.. i call back and ask to speak to the owner. .. hes always agitated taking orders btw. He sends another pizza and the delievery guy wants the old one. Which had 3 slices missing (i have kids) he wanted to touch the new pizza and take out 3 slices for the ones the kids ate. I saod no he basically kinda threw the box. . Worse service ever . Im no longer...

About two weeks ago I ordered for delivery my favorite eggplant parmigiana grinder and fried scallops. The eggplant parm was excellent. The "scallops"were salty. Real scallops are sweet, not salty. The breaded coating was mushy inside, uncooked all way through. In fact they tasted more like fish chunks. The next day, I went to Giovanni's to place an order and to inform owner, the little gruff man(?) of the inedible scallops. He wanted to know why I didn't return scallops yesterday. I told him I couldn't because scallops were delivered me at store's closing time. Owner wanted me to pay full price for new order without a consideration of the inedible, fake scallops. He grabbed my order out my hands and said he could not do anything about that. Translation: he didn't WANT to do anything about that! I then told him that I would not be back at his store any longer.
