Today 10-13-25 my sister-inlaw and I came to Philly Sunnyside Diner for breakfast. We sat ourselves and immediately noticed that the table was sticky and dirty. I informed the Asian lady and she told one of the waitresses who was a heavy set young Black female with braids in her hair. My sister-inlaw and I waited patiently for five minutes for the table to be cleaned. The young lady came over to the table with an attitude no greeting or anything, so I got up and stepped aside and she said to my sister inlaw "You gonna move so I can clean the table". My sister-inlaw responded no you can go ahead and clean the table. The young lady sprayed the table and began wiping the table, after cleaning the table she flung the menu's on the table and walked off. Needless to say we decided that we weren't going to have breakfast there do to the rude waitress. I called when I got in the car and the Asian lady answered the phone I told her about the interaction with the waitress and how rude she was. I'm certain that the young lady will continue working there with her poor customer service skills. I will not spend my money...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBiased Establishment. I hate to leave these type of reviews however, My husband and I came here for breakfast. I ordered two egg and cheese bagels with spinach, tomato and fried onions over the phone. The owner of the establishment informed me there was a $10 minimum for using a debit card. My order came up to $8.64 so the owner said I can get a water so my bill could be $9.64 then said it was close enough to $10 so it was okay to use the card.
Upon paying for the order a Caucasian guy was in front of me paying for his order which came up to $8.10. He handed her the card and she proceeded with the transaction. No statements or questions asked.
I then asked her to take the water off and my bill came up to $8.64. I handed her the card and she quickly caught an attitude telling me there is a $10 minimum for card transactions. I kindly asked for the card and headed out the door.
Clearly something is not right with this establishment. Anyone who believes fair is fair should not dine at this restaurant. The owner is biased and...
