Next Beauty Salon — Local services in Philadelphia

I've been going here over 20 years. I used to loveut here. But since the original owners left the shop isn't the same.. I'm deeply saddened by this. This is the first time I ever had to argue about cheap polish. I paid for gel polish which isn't supposed to fadeor come off until its removed with the electric file. Mine was peeling off. I was told when I got it it was a new color. I spoke to new owner who was willing to fix the issue. Redo polish. When I arrived the next day I had issues With the male RECEPTIONIST who told me his boss didn't say he would fix it. So he basically called me a liar. Then argued first 15 minutes until I told him I spend at least a hundred dollars each time I come in there and if he wanted to loose one hundred dollars over fixing a repaint fine by me. My money will be welcomed elsewhere.. Suddenly my nails were going to be fixed. I saw the owner. He didn't have any problems with the repolish. (Remember he and I spoke the day prior) the reception guy needs to mind his business and know what's hes talking about before he opens his mouth to give customers a hard time.. Stop being so money hungry. I don't think I'll be going back. I'll miss one. My Tek. Shes the best. I'm saddened by the whole experience I'm very sick. Its hard for me to get there.. But to have to come back for something that's notmy fault and be treated like that was very disturbing.. 20 years going...

Got a gel mani done last week and was very happy with the results. I'd been elsewhere about a month before and it wasn't the best so I tried out Next Beauty because its close by. They took me as a walk in and the woman that did my nails (i can't remember her name sadly) was very friendly, took her time and helped me pick a nice blue color. It's been over a week and still not a single chip. I will definitely be back!

Update: I went back a 2nd time and had Anna as my service provider. This is probably the best gel mani I've had. I took her card and will try to go to Anna every time I go. She took her time, was detailed and made my nails look absolutely beautiful. She was clean and sanitized her tools in front of me, which always...

I hate to give places low ratings, but Next Salon was one place I will never go again. I got a manicure pedicure with REGULAR polish, no gel or dip powder, and they charged me $70. It’s bad enough how expensive it was for just a regular mani-pedi, but it turns out they didn’t even give me a manicure. They did not manicure my nails at all and instead just put polish on, then said it was cheaper for me to do so. The polish chipped after a day or two which normally never happens for me. Also, the lady doing my nails was watching tiktoks on her phone the entire time instead of just taking the time to be thorough on my nails.
