La Colombe Coffee Workshop — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I'm surprised by the other reviews about service. The short, stout chick with the thin, long greasy hair seemed to have an attitude with everyone, including her coworkers, unless she was making "funny" rude comments she thought customers couldn't hear. Fyi, the customers do know when you're making fun of their hair. Tall lanky girl at the register also made me super uncomfortable. Technically she was "nice" but the baby voice was a bit condescending. I also don't know why everyone is obsessed with this food and coffee. The pastries were fine but deeply overpriced and inconsistent looking at the case. The coffee tasted okay.

The actual location is cool but I think next time I'm doing old city, I'll just grab Dunkin at the end of the block. Same attitude, sure, but quicker service and coffee of the same quality but with flavors to...

Food was not bad. Was having an okay time getting a little bit of work done there. Then I went to go put away my dishes, and in one of the cups there was a napkin. I was nice enough to try to throw out the napkin and there were two empty buckets on the the counter right next to the dishes. They both looked dirty. So, I assumed that the trash would go in there—I think an easy mistake to make. I didn’t see the trash can because it was below my waist level underneath the counter. And the barista gave me an attitude and just had such a pretentious, arrogant, and condescending vibe. I was trying to be thoughtful; I think most people would’ve just left a dirty napkin in the cup. That ruined the atmosphere for me and that is the kind of treatment/service one should not give...

Best coffee ever!!! I love the coffee here, that coffee “on tap” is the most delicious coffee I have ever tasted. I am a coffee lover, and this is my favorite place to get coffee. The building is open and industrial looking , with lots of space, and plenty of seating. Even when the line is relatively long, it moves quickly. They have a great pastry case, have some sandwiches, a few other breakfast type options, juices, to go coffee, and water. They also make rum la Colombe rum. The only negative thing I can say about this location is that it can be difficult to find parking. However if you don’t mind a bit of a walk, within a block or two you will find something.
