I was excited to try this place, but after doing so, I am genuinely befuddled by the glowing reviews.
First off, I have never seen so many flies in a place before—to the point I was shocked to find no other reviews have mentioned it and that I considered not even eating the food I ordered for pickup because it seemed that unsanitary. But at $18 for a bun-sized BEC breakfast sandwich and small horchata, I couldn’t justify trashing it.
The sandwich was greasy, the brioche bun was stale, and while I am a chewy bacon truther, it seemed undercooked. The horchata was also disappointing. I am also a no-dairy-in-horchata truther, and while I will not turn down one made with milk, this tasted as if they just mix some sort of pre-made horchata-flavor concentrate with whole milk? I’ve never tasted anything like it and not in a good way.
The staff was nice, and I like that the drink came in a higher-quality plastic cup that seems like it could be reusable, but those are about the only redeeming things from my experience. I would probably only give it another shot if the place were...
Read moreI stumbled upon this spot while on a walk looking for a quick coffee, and now I look forward to my walks just to have it! At first, I tried to keep this gem to myself, but it’s too good not to share.

But the real star for me is the horchata latte—I couldn’t stop raving about it to my friends! It’s such a unique and delicious menu item. I also tried the breakfast platter, which was super convenient for my healthy eating goals, and the ingredients tasted so fresh.
If you go, make sure you get the hamwich and the horchata latte. You...
Read moreI wouldn't recommend going here. Walked in and the counter worker didn't greet me, didn't ask for my order, did nothing. It was clear I needed to use the tablet to order, which was not easy. It asked for a tip and I was already turned off enough to say no. I ordered for dine in. Then trying to find a place to sit was difficult because the fabric benches were filthy and every surface was sticky with grease. Everything is covered in greasy dust and grime. Then food came out in a box. I guess dine in means leave the lid open. Plastic silverware and a cardboard box plate--at least they won't need to do dishes. Cleaning isn't their thing anyway. But the...
