Order: Pour Over (sort of) Price: $2.50 Pros: Incredibly fast service, nice style to their seating (though not much of it), seems set up to work in (no music going crazy, not a ton of people talking, everyone seems to be there to work) Cons: Their pour over is pre-brewed and you just order a cup of it leading to a slightly pre-heated taste, while the seating is nice there isnât much of it and Iâm sure it can get cramped. Thoughts: Day two in Philly and my wife had just a bit of work they had to do so we needed to find a coffee shop that would be conducive to get some work done. We found some parking nearby, walked in and decided this was definitely a good spot. There were plenty of people working away, the volume was relatively low, and we spotted a small wall bar table and set up shop. I went to the counter to order and asked for a pour over, they said that the way they do pour overs is that they make them in advance and store them in a large container to serve as quickly as possible. The advantage here is that this makes getting coffee incredibly quick, the downside is that the coffee tastes a little less than fresh. We were there for about two hours and I watched quite a few people come in and grab coffee quickly and then dart out the door. Overall the coffee itself was decent just not exceptional. It was a great place to work and you can get your coffee super-fast so if you were in a hurry, or needed to get a lot of work done itâs worth...

I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon, and was pleased with the outcome. The location is tucked away on Spring Street, but it's on a corner so it's easy to get back towards Center City or towards the Art Museum - whatever your fancy.
Parking around the area is pretty scarce, I did find a 2 hour spot just a step away though - so for me, the access was great!
Inside it's got that hipster detailing going on - exposed brick, dark furniture, plenty of natural light, and decent space to set up shop or just sit and enjoy a cup of whatever.
It is a pretty lean menu, consisting of standard brews, along with some teas. They do have some interesting options - like grapefruit infused espresso, and Ethiopian blends.
I ordered an iced chai latte with almond milk and felt it was decent. It was a bit on the sweet side so I wish it had more of the nutmeg flavor, but it wasn't watered down and didn't require any edits with additional sugar or what not.
I felt the service was great, the barista answered all my questions and was patient with me while I made a decision. They also offered their own opinion on things to help me decide. The prices on are more that I would typically care to pay for - about $5 for a small cup.
Overall - good experience, but just par for course. If I'm in the area again, I may stop by but I can't say I would seek it out since I felt it doesn't offer anything that isn't...
Read moreI come here maybe once a week. Great place to get some work done and the owner is super friendly. The music seems to change depending on who is working that day, so it can range from forgettable pop to raging punk, which is fun. It's a small, cozy place, but I always manage to snag a seat. Good wifi. Small tables and kinda uncomfy stools (what stool is comfortable, anyway?) but still worth going. I like that they have an interesting seasonal menu. The Peddler Palmer (iced tea, lemonade, cherry syrup, I think), lavender London fog, and chai (regular, I'm scared of the spicy version, haha) are super good. I wish this place served lunchy foods! They have pastries like croissants, smores brownies (@owner: pleeeeeeease sell more of these, I always miss out :D), vanilla cream beignets... and they sell out fast. If you stay until closing sometimes you get free leftovers. :D I overheard the owner once say that he gives all the tips to his staff even when it's just him working....
