Seems like the old bate & switch! When the restaurant first opened,, it was cleaned constantly, swift and polite service. There was only 1 African American Female named Brianna. She was very sweet & polite. I usually like to call in my order on Sunday after church so I don't have to wait. Ordered 7/2017, 8/2017, 10/2017 & 12/2017 and over those months noticed big changes. Place is not spic and span any more, longer wait and more African American presence. On 2/25/2018 decided to place order after church, called it in. Totally disgusting. I ordered the salmon (pictured) and the chicken cheese sandwich. While I was waiting (longer than usual), I observed many new changes: new manager, all new servers, food supply low, servers wearing latex gloves, place not clean. I asked new manager why my wait was so long, she said that the sandwich I ordered was dropped on the floor (just glad that one was not wrapped up). I canceled the sandwich because I needed to leave. So, I watched a young lady with gloves on handle my other order. When I asked to check it , I mentioned that usually the string beans are plentiful, what happened? She said there is a new policy and string beans are counted. Unh? She said 'I'll give you more since you didn't get your sandwich. There were none left so she offered mixed veggies which I said no to, but they are there anyway. Please see pictures of the NASTY looking container due to glove handling. YUCK! That's it for me, will not spend any money there anymore. DONE! P.S. I am African American as well, but NASTY is still NASTY! Did not want to give any stars, but you cant post if you dont give...
Read more4.25 Stars for this Peruvian Restaurant. I have not come across any Restaurant that serves Peruvian style Cuisine, that Actually deserves the rating. (The only 5-star review that I will ever give to anyone for Peruvian Cuisine is to Chef Miguel Aguilar, owner of Surfish Bistro of Brooklyn, NY.)The food @ Sardi's Pollo A La Brass is Good. I write this review based on a 2 factor judgement... Lomo Saltado - The Most Important Ingredient in this dish is the cut of meat, the dish is prepared with. Attention to details from the staff. Eg. I spent upwards of $50 (After getting a 10% Discount for online order for the First Time ONLY) on just 2 items:First item is: (1) Entire Pollo A La Brasa (Rotisserie Chicken,... Ah Whole 🐓). Plus 3 sides which are included in the Family meal: Potatoes, Plantains, & also Green Beans. Second item was of course The Lomo Saltado, the cut of meat was good not Great. The family entre includes, A 2 liter soda, which the staff forgot about. I was a little confused and disappointed as to the Price in comparison to the quality of the FOOD and Attention to details from the Restaurant Staff. However if you have a craving for Peruvian Cuisine, I sincerely recommend this Restaurant, for the fact is, it's the only Peruvian eatery in Philly Philadelphia, Worthy of a true review. If I took the time to write a review... This only means, I take interest in this establishment, and it's worth the time I spent informing all Googlers....
Read moreI must say for the restaurant to have such a huge reputation for its chicken, it must be a seemingly decent restaurant. Every so often my lady has the taste for some chicken, so she gets the chicken gyro with fries( pretty good). I get my usual lamb gyro and plantains, with the chicken ceasar salad (no longer serving). I place the order over telephone. Arrive to pick up the order usual wait time between 10-25 min, no biggie(reputable sources) right! Pretty busy, so i get one of the cashiers attention," is the order for Yah ready for pick up" she kindly addressed me, continued servicing, her present customer, then rings me up and applies my military discount, which i use as often as allowable. I then say "can i have the spicy verde sauce" she immediately claims their in the bags. Get home no sauces not one(huge oversight v.s carelessness) while preparing to make our (me & mi lady) plates i always examine my food, seeing tho i would consider myself a culinary technician, i discovered the most horrific find of the year. There was a piece of fried 🐟 (noticed skins) or seemingly physical contaminate in my plantains(during a pandemic). Seeing tho the restaurant was closed i was undecided as to whether i should leave management a voicemail or arrive early and request a ful refund. PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR THOUGHTS AND OPINIONS ON HOW TO BEST SEEK RECOMPENSE FOR THIS UNWARRANTED MISHAP! #FaithHope&Love...
