I go to this place far too often! You would think I'd learn my lesson but I love the smoothies and food here. Its an unhealthy relationship that I have with this place. Being pregnant I haven't had the urge to want everything or much. Actually I've been having crazy food aversion but one thing I know that I always want is a smoothie. When I discovered this place it was a PLUS! I had discovered a place where I liked the food and the delivery was on time. Naturally, this became a go to and I started practically throwing my money at this store. Things started to go south when my delivery would be prolonged only to eventually cancel. I am not sure why and I know that it cannot be all the fault of the restaurant, as I order through Grubhub, but it seemed to me that there would be some changes once they realized this was an issue and this happened to me ALOT. So much so you would think I just stopped ordering altogether. But my sister doesn't live far from the store on Broad st, Temple campus, so I have walked there as well hoping to cut out the middle man (Grubhub) and just get my food and smoothie. Let me just say this location is very unorganized and chaotic. Idk if its due to short staff or what, but going into the restaurant I feel like I got an understanding that my delivery fails in the past were due to both Grubhub AND Tropical Smoothie Cafe. I would watch drivers from different service companies wait for what seemed like forever for their order. I would watch the staff get orders wrong multiple times, myself having to deal with this as well. I would see there simply was no order. I give only 4 stars and not 5 because of the service. The food would be fine for the most part but it would be whenever I would eventually get the food after a hassle/long wait and sometimes I wouldn't get the food at all due to...
Read moreWhy did I pay $25 for food delivery and clearly received items I didn’t order instead of the ones I paid for. To pay 25 for a single drink delivery and two cookies is ridiculous. If you’re not even going to give me the flavors I ordered. If you had any common sense, you would refund somebody when you don’t have the items they ordered not just give them whatever you want. Clearly who’s ever working here will not be going far in any industry with these work ethics.
update: I have placed several other orders and every single order there is always an issue. $25 to have one smoothie delivered and every single time I’m missing my edible straws. The funny part is whenever I put in a refund request you would think since this is happened to me five times I would be offered some kind of free smoothie or some thing. Tropical smoothie Café does not care about their customers who try to support their brand. This location absolutely sucks and the staff who works here can’t even be bothered to answer the phone and help customers. I’ve spoken to Diane at corporate about this and she claims it’s because they “get very busy “but you need to get more people in the store or just don’t open if you’re going to operate in this way if I owned the store I would be personally there myself making sure it’s functioning appropriately. I ordered delivery because the single time I went in the store to pick it up it took them 20 minutes to make my smoothie. They had five people on staff, and only one person on the cashier and then making orders for people in the...
Read moreI had the worse customer service experience Ive ever experienced in my life at this location. I am a regular customer. I ordered a smoothie and I didn't like the way it tasted so I asked for them to remake it and the manager Dayona Brown told me they weren't going to after a employee said they would remake it and the employee threw my smoothie in the trashcan after i handed it over. She asked him if he threw it away and he said yes and even after I explained that he threw it away she looked at the trash can and told me I can still have it. I said if they don't want me as a customer here anymore I won't come and she said "Ok" and lastly I said there must be some kind of discrimination here and the employees laughed and smiled. Im not sure what kind of business they are running but that is definitely not how you run one and treat people especially customers. This would be unacceptable in a Corporate business but I can see why it's considered acceptable here because it's a franchise. The people here would be fired if hired anywhere else. Unfortunately will not return because I feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed and I'm still awaiting a response to...
