If you’re searching for an unforgettable dining experience that celebrates the art of Cantonese cuisine, look no further than Yin Ji Rice Noodle Rolls. From the first bite to the last, this place is nothing short of perfection.
The star of the show—their signature rice noodle rolls (Cheung Fun)—are a revelation. Silky, tender, and freshly made to order, each roll melts in your mouth like a delicate cloud. The classic shrimp-filled rice noodle roll is a standout, bursting with plump, succulent shrimp wrapped in flawlessly steamed rice paper. For something indulgent, try the beef brisket or truffle-infused variations; both are rich, aromatic, and layered with complex flavors that leave you craving more.
What truly sets Yin Ji apart is their dedication to freshness and authenticity. The noodles are made in-house daily, and you can taste the care in every bite. The accompanying sauces—a delicate soy blend and a subtly spicy chili oil—elevate each dish without overpowering the natural flavors.
Beyond the noodles, don’t miss their crispy youtiao (fried dough sticks) for dipping or the comforting congee, which is creamy, well-seasoned, and generously topped with fresh ingredients.
The service is warm and attentive, with staff eager to guide newcomers through the menu. The restaurant’s modern yet cozy ambiance, complete with an open kitchen where you can watch the chefs craft each roll, adds to the vibrant, authentic vibe.
Yin Ji Rice Noodle Rolls isn’t just a meal—it’s an experience. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Cantonese cuisine or a curious foodie, this spot deserves a permanent spot on your must-visit list. Affordable, flavorful, and utterly satisfying, it’s the kind of place you’ll daydream about until...
Read moreThis is my 2nd visit within 2 months. I would say this place is great for breakfast. They served mainly breakfast food like congee, rice roll. Let’s start with the service. First visit here back in May the server came up to take our order and gave us recommendations. This visit we walked in the guy at the counter direct us to go towards the back of the restaurant and sit at the table. Didn’t even take us to our table. We looked at the menu waited a bit no one came to take our order but there were QR codes at the table to tell you to scan to order. We ordered 6 items to share. If you get the congee make sure to add an order of fried dough sticks to put inside to congee. I love their soy milk with jasmine. It’s so light and refreshing. We also got their shrimp wonton soup. We got the 3 treasure rice roll, shrimp and chives rice roll and fried dough rice roll and the tea egg. I would say we enjoyed everything but our least liked dish was the tea egg. Feel like it’s not marinated long enough in the tea to absorb enough flavor. I would definitely come back although we don’t get much service maybe because the whole restaurant was packed and only 3 servers hence the lack of service but I would say the food came out pretty quickly and when we ask for extra bowls and plates for sharing the servers brought it out for us pretty quickly. The rice rolls are made to order I had a perfect view of the chef in kitchen making...
Read moreThe store in Guangzhou is near and dear to my heart as the first Yin Ji store is next to my grandparents house. I would eat there every time I went back to China to visit them so it held a lot of memories for me. Unfortunately, as the brand franchised out, it has lost its quality. I tried the Manhattan one and the Philly one was the same, thick noodles and watered down soy milk. I ordered the triple combination rice roll with shrimp, beef, and cha siu. The skin was way too thick and mushy. The hot soy milk was the worst I had. It literally tasted like water. The only redeeming dish I had was the Sampan congee. I prefer a thick texture in my congee, and this one was good.
Service was a miss for me as well. They didn’t have enough people working so I stood there waiting for like 10 mins for any of the 4 vacated tables to be cleared before I can be seated. I added thousand year old egg to my congee and that was forgotten. I liked the self ordering app, but it didn’t give an option to check out through the app.
I would probably only go back for the congee and nothing else. If you like less doughy rice rolls I actually prefer the ones from...
