Barro's Pizza — Restaurant in Phoenix

Wow! Some of the reviews I read were surprisingly bad. I am a new customer of Barro's. My first visit was at the store in Surprise. It was amazing! They superseded my expectations. I had the lunch special w/a drink, salad, & 1 slice. the slice was huge & piping hot. The salad bar had all natural foods, meaning none of that pre-made macaroni & potatoes salad stuff that has mayo exposed for more than 10 minutes. it had all fresh produce except for the pineapple slices, cottage cheese, & croutons. For $4.25 I got my fill & didn't feel like I was full of chemicals. I yearned for more of their salad & pizza for 2 days, then, finally stopped at another store at Camelback & Dysart and all the young ladies behind the counter were cheerful & friendly, acting like they lived being there & serving the customers. I ordered a large single topping pizza to-go, which is a much better pizza than Pizza Hut & Domino's, according to my taste. I also ordered a salad to-go that I hand-packed. I was so hungry that I got myself a fork, sat down, & at almost the entire salad during the 20 minutes that I waited for my pizza. their blue cheese dressing is chunky good. I packed myself a heaping salad which included antipasto items. One thing I noticed at both restaurants is that they had two separate dining rooms. One room appeared to have nothing but families with kids seated in it, while the other were couples, small groups of adults, & quieter. I do not know if this is by design, but, I know when my husband returns from his business trip, he'll enjoy eating in an establishment where he can sit to enjoy his food in a quiet atmosphere. The two Barro's I visited are now my new favorite pizza places. If they are franchises, the two I visited appeared so much alike that they seemed to be corporate owned. I'd buy a franchise if they are available & locate it near our condo in California where there isn't one within 40 miles of our condo in California. I will miss eating at Barron's while we're staying in California for half...

Got the wrong pizza and had to make a 2nd trip to get mine put in the oven... this is 2nd time my order was messed up.. i was only customer waiting and she called out an xtra lg pepperoni and i assumed it was mine since she looked at me.. and then get home with someone else's pizza.. said she called out the name but all I hear was size and pepperoni and then had to bring someone else's pizza back... 1st time there was a slice out of my pizza months ago and they never did anything for that.one either.. When I worked in food... we had costome keep the.order and them make the.right order... no questions asked.. I did get a free 2 ltr but we don't drink soda... unfortunately I will not be back... being in mngmt all my life for restaurants in texas.. we made it right and didn't argue... also they need to speak up and understand us older folks go deaf... if she did call.out the persons name.. I was the only one there... when I first moved from texas.. you guys were my go to place.. best pizza in my opinion... now I have to find another place ... and you guys were also not way to far for me to drive... but if I have to drive further I will... unacceptable... like i said first time yall sent me home with a pizza I didn't think I had to check and get home and 1 slice missing.. they or yall had me show a photo and said we'll maybe they cut it into a smaller pizza like say fir instance a lg cut like a med... there was a slice missing... grease spot was there.. not the slice of pizza... and an honest adult and was not happy about that either but I had company that night and I was very angry... tonight.... was my last night... step it up or lose more customers.. i have spent way too much money at yalls establishment to go thru anything else... my uncle is dying as we speak and I was trying to make dinner easier tonight and yall really didn't make.my.mood...

I called in a order about 5pm Saturday 4-10-21

My food was not delivered until like 6:40 after being quoted a 1 hour arrival.

This pizza and the wings were cold. The wings looked terrible as well like some of them only had meat on one side and just looked inedible.

Anyways it was so late to being delivered I had to go I just kind of ate 1 slice of cold pizza that I heated up and left.

I called the next day to complain and a I spoke to a manager named

Jordan decided since I didn't call the same night I can only get 50% off. I explained to Jordan I didn't have time to call back the same night and that it was the next day and he didn't care.

I'd also like to mention to everyone please check your food very thoroughly. Little pieces of cardboard come off the inside of the box when they first fold them and they are not sweeping out the cardboard bits.

The cardboard bits are ending up in your pizza or in your pizza box because they are being careless. Look in the top corners of your box where they fold. You'll see it just look it's stringy pieces of cardboard.

People that frequent this location are most likely eating bits of cardboard along with their pizza

Hey thanks Jordan I'll avoid that for sure it was probably best I never came back anyways.

Also in the past I recall ordering spaghetti from this place and ending up with a weird piece of blue plastic mixed in with my noodles I could have easily eaten on accident.

Yea for sure look thru every bite you take from this place you never know what...
