I recently had the pleasure of dining at Blanco Cocina and Cantina, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. The restaurant had a great vibe, with beautiful artwork adorning the walls, creating a lively and inviting atmosphere.

Upon arrival, we were promptly seated and immediately treated to a basket of warm, crispy chips accompanied by a homemade spicy salsa. The salsa had just the right amount of heat and added a flavorful kick to the start of our meal.

For our appetizer, we decided to try the spicy mango and shrimp ceviche. It was a delightful combination of sweet and spicy flavors.

The machaca (short rib) enchiladas were excellent. The shrimp tacos were a true highlight, with perfectly cooked shrimp nestled in warm tortillas and topped with a delicious salsa. Each bite was bursting with flavor and left us craving for more.

One of the standout features of Blanco Cocina and Cantina is their extensive tequila selection. With hundreds of choices available, it was a tequila lover's paradise. The knowledgeable staff was more than happy to recommend different options based on our preferences, making the experience even more enjoyable.

To end our meal on a sweet note, we ordered the flan for dessert. It was absolutely amazing. The flan was creamy, smooth, and had just the right amount of sweetness. It was the perfect way to conclude our dining experience.

I must also mention our waiter, Christian, who provided exceptional service throughout our meal. He was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, making our dining experience even more enjoyable.

Overall, Blanco Cocina and Cantina exceeded our expectations. From the great vibe and artwork to the delicious food and extensive tequila selection, it is a restaurant that I would highly recommend. Whether you're looking for a casual dinner or a place to celebrate a special occasion, Blanco Cocina and Cantina is...

I went to eat dinner with my son dine in, and I was rushed out of the restaurant within 30 minutes. The server took our drink order and asked what starter we wanted. We ordered the queso fundido. We received it within 5 minutes. Okay no problem. As I was getting ready to dip my second chip, not even two minutes later after receiving the appetizer the server asked if I'd like to put in our entree orders. I reluctantly complied because I already felt rushed and placed the order. The food also came out within 5 minutes. The server then came to the table and rudely started to remove the appetizer from the table without asking me if I was finished. Halfway through my meal she asked if I wanted dessert. Um hello? We aren't even finished with the food yet. My money is green like anyone else's and I felt disrespected receiving that service as if we didn't belong. She didn't rush and other tables around us. In fact she happily stood at the table next to us letting herself be pet on my the much older man sitting there. They were literally standing behind her and caressing her. It was truly bizarre. I guess she didn't feel as if my tip would be large enough so we weren't worth her effort. Jokes on her. I almost always overtip just because of the stereotype that 'others' aren't good tippers. It's not that we aren't. It's the substandard service received that draws down the tip. She just assumed otherwise. The cocktail was the only thing decent about this place. Btw not sure where the stellar reviews are coming from. The food was absurd and not Mexican at all. More like a Mexican concept for certain individuals that want to eat 'ethnic' without having to be around those that make the very food they want to eat. We should've just went to Chipotle. At least that would've tasted better and the service would've been...

Went to Blanco last night after a performance at Symphony Hall with some friends and our daughters. We had 8:00 reservations but arrived a bit early and were told we would be seated closer to our reservation time, which was fine, as it gave us a few minutes to chat about the performance we had just seen. Eight O’clock came and went and I noticed groups without reservations being seated so we checked in again and only then were we seated. We were greeted promptly and received our drinks quickly. Our food was a different story. Three of our six meals came almost a half hour before the next two and the last meal didn’t come for ten more minutes after that. NOBODY bothered to say anything to us while we waited for the missing meals. Three of us were finished eating before the other three got food. I can’t speak for the other meals but my shrimp fajitas were good not great, just good because they had so much spice to them that I had to douse them in sour cream to make them palatable. When our server finally did show up with the last meal (which should have taken two minutes to make because it was literally a corn tortilla with cheese melted on it and a side of guacamole) he acted as though nothing was wrong. When he dropped the check off, he said “we took off the cheese crisp as we weren’t totally satisfied with the speed in which it was delivered.” We didn’t ask for anything to be comped. We might have asked for to-go containers for our remaining food but our plates were cleared without asking. If they were concerned enough to take anything off our bill, perhaps they could have also been concerned enough to check on the child who sat with no food while the rest of us ate because everyone’s food would have been cold had we waited. It was a miserable experience and I...

I made a reservation and took my mother here for Mother's Day lunch 2023. From the moment we stepped inside, to the moment we left, the food and service were superior. We arrived about 15 minutes early and were waiting to be seated. The general manager saw us and immediately offered us drinks while we waited. We ended up being seated earlier than expected. Hannah was our server and was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, prompt, and thoughtful. She made great recommendations, described the menu items perfectly, and took our experience from great to awesome. I had been craving a good margarita for days and was disappointed by another place I had gone. I ordered the skinny margarita and it was fantastic!! It was exactly what I had been looking for - fresh ingredients, refreshing, and was even garnished with fragrant rose petal atop a muddled orange slice. I ordered two different kinds of tacos (braised chicken and bbq pork) on house made, corn tortillas. The ingredients of each were combined beautifully, the meat was tender and moist, and the corn tortillas might have been the best I have ever had. My Mom's chimichanga exceeded her expectations as well. Even the rice and beans (that I usually don't eat at Mexican restaurants) were superior. SO GOOD!! (And reasonably priced). For what might be one of the busiest restaurant days of the year, nobody seemed stressed or rushed, the environment was fun, friendly, light and lively. Best of all, it made my Mom's Mother's Day perfect. Thanks, guys

Oh, where do I even begin? We came here, excited after reading the glowing reviews, but quickly started questioning humanity’s collective taste buds. Let’s start with the guacamole—brown spots, anyone? It had the consistency of a spread that had given up on life, oily and sad, as though it was blended one too many times just to see how much abuse it could take. Yum, right? Now, onto the tacos. $20 for two? Really? For what, you ask? Overcooked shrimp that tasted like they were reheated in a microwave’s afterlife. As for the “famous machada,” let me tell you—if blandness had a mascot, this would be it. Undersalted, no flavor, and I guess they decided to play a cruel joke by calling those few shreds of cabbage and a lone cilantro leaf “toppings.” Oh, and don’t even get me started on the rice. White with corn? Are we in a cafeteria or a “true” Mexican restaurant? Because I’ve never seen rice like that anywhere south of fast food territory. In fact, Chipotle is starting to feel gourmet in comparison. But hey, the service was fantastic. They delivered our disappointments with a smile!

We personally tried their Margaritas, carne asada fajitas, Mexican chocolate tiramisu. Nevertheless do not forget their chips and salsa, it's a good starter while waiting for the food. Blanco management and servers makes me come back for another visit. They also have a lot more to offer. "The laid-back party atmosphere, perfect for sipping the day away serves craveable dishes like Cheese Crisps (aka Mexican Pizza) and the Chimichanga – a Sonoran regional staple. In fact, Blanco will offer Chimichangas with decedent fillings such as short rib machaca or braised chicken. Other show-stealers include Tiger Shrimp Fajitas with spicy garlic butter, and tacos on handmade corn tortillas with Slow Cooked BBQ, roasted corn slaw, pickled onion, and crema fresca. Wash it all down with any of the house made margaritas, squeezed fresh all day long, like the Jalapeño & Pineapple Margarita with chile verde liqueur & habanero bitters or a Frozen Paloma with blood orange, grapefruit, and blanco tequila."
