Unfortunately I was selected for State Grand Jury Duty. I travelled from Yuma twelve times between early September and late February. Each time the state reserved accommodations for me in this hotel. It's within walking distance to the courthouse. Every time I had a different room, so I've got some good experience from my home away from home. The rooms in this hotel are very clean and the mattresses felt really comfortable, where I got a very good nights sleep before going to work at the courthouse. Now for the disappointments and minor problems that I have found, and these probably exist in all hotels, I just stayed here so often that I knew what to look for. Do not get a room with 09 in the room number. 509 through 1209. They all have a pipe running through them for the AC system, and it's very noisy. The continental breakfast is not very good. Had pretty much the same thing every day, and the hot food was terrible. Turkey and regular sausage patties every day. Cooked within a steamer and never completely cooked. You know those semi-raw sausage patties, they're terrible. Never had bacon. Every morning they had powdered scrambled eggs (TERRIBLE!). Bagles and english muffins were hard, but they did have a good selection of toppings for them. They did have good fruit and yogurt, but that's about it. Juice from the juice dispenser was good but the coffee wasn't. I think this is the area that needs the most improvements. Small things but are my pet peeves. These are the first checks that you should make upon initial entrance in the room. Check that the Iron doesn't leak if you iron your clothes. Several times I had a leaky iron and I had to call front desk to get a new one. They are all cheap irons made in China. Make sure the ironing board works. I had to jury (LOL) rig the ironing board to iron my clothing one day. Make sure the ironing board cover doesn't have creases all over it. Had to get a replacement several times. Immediately check the showerhead. The showerheads in the lower floors were old and terrible. They seem to have been replacing the showerheads on the upper floors with new ones. Make sure the remote control works and the batteries are not dead. This is another problem that I found. Check to make sure that your coffee is well stocked, because it's actually better than the breakfast coffee. Finally, make sure that the bathroom sink isn't clogged. These are all the little things that I found at this hotel. BTW, the front desk staff is absolutely awesome. Another note is on parking. Luckily the state paid for valet parking for me because it's about $45. Good luck finding parking if you...

Title: Disappointing Experience with Poor Customer Service

I recently had a stay at Residence Inn that left me thoroughly dissatisfied, primarily due to the disappointing customer service provided by the guest clerk, Michael Ruiz.

From the moment I checked in, Mr. Ruiz displayed a lack of professionalism and a disregard for customer satisfaction. He seemed disinterested and unhelpful, making the entire check-in process an unpleasant experience. It was evident that my concerns were not a priority to him.

Throughout my stay, I encountered several issues that required assistance, and unfortunately, Mr. Ruiz's attitude persisted. His responses were curt, and he displayed a noticeable lack of empathy or willingness to address my concerns. It was disheartening to witness such a poor level of customer service, especially considering the reputation Residence Inn holds.

As a guest, I believe that even with elite status, every individual should be treated with respect and courtesy. Unfortunately, this was not the case at Residence Inn during my stay.

I hope this feedback prompts a review of customer service standards at Residence Inn, as the experience with Mr. Ruiz has left a lasting negative impression. Improvements in staff training and a commitment to ensuring a positive guest experience are essential for the reputation of your establishment.

The food and drinks at your hotel were truly delightful. The quality and taste surpassed my expectations, and it contributed significantly to the overall enjoyment of my stay. The culinary experience added a positive dimension to my visit, and I commend the chefs and staff responsible for the delicious offerings.

Furthermore, I would like to express my appreciation for the excellent service provided by the housekeeping staff Arsceni. She was pleasant, efficient, and ensured that my accommodations were kept in impeccable condition. Their attention to detail did not go unnoticed, and I am grateful for their hard work in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment.

While I had some challenges with other aspects of my stay, the positive experiences with the food, drinks, and housekeeping staff were noteworthy. I believe it's essential to acknowledge both areas of improvement and areas where your team excels.

Thank you for your attention to this feedback, and I hope it contributes to the ongoing success of Residence Inn.

I just want everyone to know that this hotel is a true 5 star experience. From the moment that I called to check pricing for long term stays the front desk staff was superb (lets be honest the whole Bethany/ Stephanie conversation kinda made my night). Friendly, as well as helpful with directions and anything else I could have asked of them. Construction for the expansion of the rail system downtown that is going on around your hotel could make it very difficult for your team and guests but they were able to make it easier to navigate upon check in. Also, because I work at nights and sleep during the day they made sure to put me higher up so that the noise didn't bother me quite so much. It was thoughtful and very much appreciated- I haven't had the construction bother me once during my day sleeping. The parking garage and parking are safe and I often see security doing walking checks. I also commend you for your increased Breakfast efforts this last week or so, I know how difficult it has been with COVID. I have also had the privilege of interacting with your maintenance department, the light switches in my room needed replaced and when I let the front desk know, the maintenance gentleman who was right there was ready to fix them right then- even though I'm pretty sure he was ready to leave for the evening. He was also super fast at getting things replaced the next day, after I told him I was more than happy to wait a day. I have seen your Front Desk Manager and his staff handle a very difficult/confrontational situation with professionalism and tact. Finally, but certainly not least the housekeeping staff keeps the hotel spotless. Due to COVID you have to request services- which is understandable. For whatever reason my request was lost in translation and even though it was 11pm at night I was able to get everything I needed for my room- including towels and sheets and everything else I asked for- along with a very sincere apology about them missing my room today. As a nurse during this pandemic if the only thing that went wrong today was a small miscommunication and I had to change my own sheets? I count that a win on all fronts of the battle field. Please know that I see all of the hard work all of you are putting into keeping up the standards you are striving to maintain. You have exceeded my expectations and I am pleased to call myself a guest for the...

Just checked out of the @Residence Inn by Marriott in @Downtown Phoenix , and I’m already planning my next stay. ✨ Spacious suites with full kitchens, a cozy bar with craft drinks, and a location right in the heart of the city-this place has it all! This is your sign to book the stay you deserve 😌 #tiktokgostay #phoenix #phoenixarizona #hotelroom #marriottbonvoy

Very nice hotel. We have had great customer service and enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is small but with a full size fridge, stovetop, microwave, utensils, dishes, some pots and pans . . . it is nicely set up for an extended stay or even the convenience of properly reheating leftovers😁. The room is not huge (we have a single queen) but it works and is not too crowded. Plenty of outlets, and the lighting next to the bed was a nice detail. The only "complaint" I might have is that the bathroom light shines through the frosted glass door on to the head of the bed (see photo). So, it can be a little awakening to the person still sleeping who did not wake up to use the bathroom 😋. I attached a photo - it really is not a big deal, at least for me, and I am really working to find something less than positive. The free breakfast was very good, with both hot and cold options. It was well tended to, and the "breakfast ladies" were diligent and sweet people. The restaurant was kind of a nice surprise. They do not have a huge food menu but the things I tried for dinner were really good. The wait staff was great, and sometimes they could get a little overwhelmed when things were busy - but they really hustled and the food was always hot, the drinks were always cold. I did not try breakfast there, and they are closed after breakfast until 5:00. It turned out to be a really great option rather than fighting the downtown crowds on busy event nights. We had a great stay here, and would not hesitate to stay again. P.S. I really liked the Paul Mitchell shampoo and conditioner! What can I say. 😊

I was really looking forward to staying here. Our room was so hot and took a very long time to cool down. Our shower dial was very much stuck in the off position. We did not contact customer service since it was around 6am and we had to be at a training shortly after. It took my husband and I to get it to budge so the water would turn on. The next morning the hot water would not come on. The room also makes these odd popping noises throughout the day. Could be the plumbing. Our room was obviously neglected for some time . There is a very thick layer of dust in the shower vent. No hand soap, minimal counter space. There is currently construction outside of the hotel. I was aware of the parking fees. There's a coffee shop on the lobby floor that sells a selection of Starbucks drinks and pastries but they close at 10am. Breakfast is very basic: scrambled hotel eggs, sausage, cereals, and breads . Pros, There are a lot of places to eat and gather groceries within walking distance. Front desk was very polite when checking in.
