1st off, the Valet service was excellent, when I 1st arrived I was so impressed that I thought I was in for a treat but I was so wrong. To begin with, I did not receive the room that was booked and told it was due to overbooking. My room was booked a couple of months in advance by my employer and I was here for a week due to training. The room was to include a full complimentary breakfast and access to the gym, laundry, pool, and hot tub. 1st morning I went to the front desk and asked where to go for the included breakfast. They asked what room I was in and told me I needed to purchase my own breakfast. When I said it was included in the room they hesitated but after an uncomfortable discussion, they acted like they were doing me a favor and had a clerk take me to the 2nd floor, she showed me where to enter then left. My card key would not allow me in so someone inside had to let me get in. The next morning, same situation. I was told they had to get "permission" from the GM to "allow" me in. I felt like I was a vagrant begging for food and this all took place in the lobby for all to witness. This happened again the 3rd morning with a different clerk telling me there are 2 sections to the hotel after asking me what room I was in, she indicated I was not in the section that allowed me in the breakfast room or any of the other amenities that I was supposed to have access to. My coworkers had the same experience of not being able to access any of the amenities. 4th and last morning, I just checked out without getting breakfast because I was tired of the humiliation of the last 3 mornings. The room was clean but it didn't even have a microwave in it, for someone that is there for a week that is not acceptable. I had to take my food and go to another floor to use the microwave and get ice. There was also NO bathroom vent or way to open a window to air out the room so the room started to smell like a locker room after a couple of showers. There was no room service due to Covid which was understandable but there was also no place close by to throw any trash away so I had to take my trash a couple of times a day to another floor to dispose of it. Thankfully I had some plastic bags with me because there were no liners in the tiny room trash cans. I have been to many different hotels and never experienced the poor service and attitude from the staff that I received at this hotel. My employer paid for the room but I had to experience this...

Ah, nothing like a brand new hotel! This place is pretty great and since it's new (and in Arizona) you pretty much have all the amenities to yourself!

From the pool, fitness center, laundry room and free breakfast (sorry, Residents only folks), it's the gift that just keeps on giving. Residents (the people like myself that stay in the rooms that are studio apartments) get services like dry cleaning, grocery shopping, etc. You just fill out the grocery list and give it to the concierge then within a few hours someone pops by with everything you ordered. For dry cleaning just put everything in the dry cleaning bag and room service will pick it up. All of course is charged to your room.

The free breakfast was a nice addition. Eggs, sausage, bacon, oatmeal, waffles, pancakes, grits, cereal, milk, juices, pretty much all the standard breakfast items and it's all you can eat as well!

The rooms are fantastic! Everything is low height which I love and for a 6ft person like myself it was perfect (tall people might not like it as much.) Everything was clean and new. The only minor negative was that a picture in my room had bad ahesive and kept popping open to reveal the circuit breaker behind it.

Rooms were pretty soundproof, I couldn't hear anything from the other rooms nor from outside. AC was excellent as well, when I turned it on, the room was chilled in under a minute. The rooms included tea, coffee, popcorn for free as well.

Overall this is going to be my go to spot when I'm in Phoenix! Great amenities, staff was ok, and a beautiful hotel.

*If you don't make your check-in time for whatever reason they WILL give your room away and still charge you even if you have a 7 day booking like myself! We sorted it out with Marriott's upper management and ended up not being charged, but being forced to find another room and initally being charged...

Loved the hotel facilities, staff was also professional and courteous! Hotel had an updated modern and look! Gorgeous! The indoor pool is what we were looking for in December and it was perfect. The hotel itself surpassed our expectations w/ the exception of a few minor things w/c is why I didn't rate a perfect 5: cafe was closed on a Sunday and my son was really looking forward to having their chicken pot pie for his bday lunch Sunday (I had there the night before). He was very sad to find out it was closed Sunday until 5pm, the pillows had a sweat smell to them, shower floor had light feet stains, my key stopped working on day 2 of my stay (was locked out and couldn't get in my hotel room, went down to the receptionist desk where she corrected it quickly & she was very friendly). Other than these small minor issues, overall stay and hotel surpassed our expectations! The staff prides themseleves w/ hospitality which shows in their very friendly, engaging (w/ guests), smiling & professional at the front desk and cafe! They were all wonderful! And come to think of it, didn't see anyone on their cell phones or chatting amongst each other when guests were present. Great job! I am fearful of bed bugs and chose this hotel bec. of its cleanliness rating. Other than the pillows and shower floor, overall the room was beautiful, it was very clean, it didn't have a stench when you walked in, for the price it was gorgeous/ modern/updated, loved the colors, bathroom was updated, new and very nice, beds seemed new & was comfy, loved the modern design, couch was cute/clean, overall was very welcoming! Loved this hotel, it was my 1st time and will return. I would recommend this to any residents or guests...

For almost $400 per night I expected a lot more. I had checked into my room early today. Worked at the desk in the room throughout the day and probably use the restroom (# 1 only) 3-4 times. Luckily I washed my hands every time with the antibacterial soap I bring. Went to use the restroom again about 30 minutes ago and saw this (see pic). That’s definitely poop. I know it is not mine because I have not rocked a deuce since I’ve been here. Then started looking around the bathroom and from straight on everything looks pretty clean, but once you get to the side of the vanity and the toilet, look out! They also need to clean the vent in the bathroom. Went downstairs and the front desk was very nice and gave me a new room. I inspected it thoroughly and don’t see anything else that’s gross in this room. I think the rate today and tomorrow is $360 per night. This place is worth about 150 a night. From the looks of the lobby and the hallways of the different floors it looks pretty nice. Once you get in the rooms, you can definitely tell they’ve got wear and tear.

I stayed here last weekend with a group of friends and I'm glad we did. The room was very clean, tidy, and comfortable. The lobby/lounge area was large and inviting. The indoor pool area was small but wasn't too busy. The gym was well stocked and definitely usable. The staff was also very helpful with everything we needed. Regarding the area, the hotel is situated near the southern portion of a relatively small (compared to LA) downtown area. There are plenty of choices for bars, dining, and entertainment (short walk to baseball stadium) within walking distance. The room was fairly priced (given location and Marriot name), but you should be aware there is only valet parking (which costs $33/day). I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.
