Visited this place for the first time a couple of weeks ago, while in downtown Phoenix. First impression is the restaurant was very clean and neat. The dining area had a wonderful view of downtown via large clean windows all around. The staff was friendly and helpful. I had the Chicken Kabob. The portion was larger than I'd expected and the flavor was even better. Chicken was moist, not overcooked and not dry. Well seasoned and matched perfectly with the bed of Mediterranean rice it was placed on. The accompanying salad had a surprising amount of balsamic vinegar which went very well with the roasted peppers and tomatoes in the green leafy salad. The juice bar on the far side of the restaurant made me a wonderful carrot, apple and orange juice drink that was so delicious, even my picky 6yr old devoured! What a wonderful delight to find this gem in the heart of Phoenix! This is a must for anyone traveling through Phoenix!! ...I'm updating with pictures this time. Lamb Kabob; Chicken Kabob; Baba Ghanouj; Side of Shrimp. The new owner now includes 5 Shrimp per order instead of 3. This is my first time having lamb in 7 years. I can't stand the taste or texture of lamb. The owner highly recommended it and after declining for several months, I caved. I'm so glad I did. This lamb is spectacular. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Of all the places I've ever tried lamb, this is certainly the only place I will ever order it again. Rule of thumb....listen to the owner's recommendations, they were spot on!

Allow me to preface my criticism by saying that this place is awesome and I come here almost everyday for lunch and will continue to for a very long time. The food is delicious and everyone is friendly, especially the owner! The food is affordable and always fills me up. However, there are a couple minor things that I think could help this place really thrive. The flow of the line could use some redesign. It's a little awkward how it is now because of the location of the entrance door. This is very minor and totally not anyone's fault, but I think the line bollards could be moved to utilize a better flow, I'm just not sure where. Another thing is that I've noticed the room tends to get a little smoky from time to time. It doesn't bother me, I just worry for other people that might complain about possible ventilation failure. Again, I love this place. Just a few discrepancies here and there. Thanks!

Now I work right where bowl of greens is located I work down there for a year before I stepped in. Bowl of Green had gotten a new owner, Quite a caring person, I went inside the store and I had everything on the menu so far and everything on the menu taste absolutely fabulous you would never regret eating at Bowl of Greens. Not only that you have to try all of the smoothies the juicers very interesting place to eat and is healthy for you. The owner has really impress me by providing jobs for the college student that are going to Arizona State University. What I'm trying to say is Bowl of Green Rocks when you eat there you're not only paying for great Grubb but providing a job for the hard studying students who are working to help pay for there education.

Not what I expected. I ordered takeout online and created my own salad with Spinach, carrots, chickpeas, cheddar cheese, feta, chicken and ranch. The chicken was served hot on top of room temperature spinach and salad parts resulting in a warm-ish salad, which was a little unappetizing the ranch had been taped on top so it was warm too. The chicken was very greek seasoned and salty which was a lot considering I was expecting unseasoned or very lightly seasoned chicken since it was on a salad with dressing. It was just a very weird salad, I mean I ate it but I felt relieved when I decided I didn't have to eat the chicken and set it aside for my dog. (The dog loved it). I might try it again but I would not order chicken because of the temperature issue.

The store was a little cluttered, too warm and a little sticky feeling, the door hanging open on a 95 degree day. Close the door and turn on the AC, please.

Defensive, accusatory response from the owner, ugh. Cleanliness and organization is not too expensive for you to afford. You'd think the owner would be sorry for serving food in the danger zone (between 40 and 140 degrees) but rather made suggestions as if I ordered incorrectly causing them to serve me the potentially dangerous food. If you're putting warm chicken on cold spinach for a takeout order, put the chicken on the side so it stays hot, put the ranch with the cold stuff so it stays cold don't throw the whole thing together and say I ordered wrong. The place was empty when I was there, door hanging open, not real clean, temperature too warm, a little sticky especially around the drink station. If I hadn't ordered online I would have left immediately. They're near ASU Downtown Campus. I should have known, my daughter attends there and says there's no good places to eat, she's...

THE GOOD: We ordered a team lunch here for pick-up and everyone enjoyed the food It seemed to have made it all accurately.

THE BAD: The reason I took off three stars is because not only was the staff was cold and standoffish, the manager was SO rude! I went up to the counter to pick up the order and a couple team members (who were standing around doing nothing) just stared over at me like, "Uhh what do you want?" No, "Can I help you with something?" or "Are you here for a pick-up order?" Just stares.

I was picking up the order for someone else from my team so I wasn't sure what name it was under. I tried our business name first and they asked annoyed, "You mean ?" I'm guessing ours was the only group order, so yes, that's what I meant.

The manager walked past me with a black crate, but I actually didn't realize it was for me because she walked right by me at the counter without looking over or acknowledging me at all. She set down the crate on a table behind me and it was then that I realized she wasn't restocking something or bringing a random crate to the trash. (How would I know? She didn't even make eye contact with me.) I turned around and asked, "Is that my order?" She just stared at me, annoyed, like "Obviously, you idiot." and didn't say a word. I walked up to her and she repeated over and over how many times she checked the order, so basically, "It's all there. Don't double-check my work, just leave."

Unless my team orders here again, I wouldn't come back. Rude staff is a huge turn-off. I'll go spend my...
