I joined ASUFC at the beginning of January. It has a good selection of equipment and is walking distance from my house, which is great because they don’t have parking. Once classes began at ASU in mid- January, a mass policy was suddenly mandated in the gym & members were required to reserve work out times in advance. I literally can’t work out in a mask because it’ll cause me to hyperventilate. Fortunately I was paying the monthly membership so I just took the loss. The SDFC at the downtown Phoenix location is definitely downscaled from its bigger brother down at Tempe. However, they provide enough equipment to get a good workout, and the addition of the YMCA attached to the building means you'll be hard-pressed to get a sweat going. Wish there were more weights than cardio...
