TL;DR - Incompetent BK workers messed up half my order after multiple confirmations of the order at the drive thru... Lesson learned: don't leave the restaurant before checking that EVERYTHING is correct.
The long version:
Sadly, I had quite the poor experience at Burger King on Quail Run this evening. I ordered 4 whopper jr duos, and I admittedly had a semi complex order with a few small changes to 7 of the 8 sandwiches, so I made sure to check, and recheck that they had everything correct. I even asked if it would be easier for me to come into the restaurant from the drive thru, and they assured me it would not be, as they "already had my order" ready to go. Pulling up to the window, I wasn't certain they had the order correct still (due to difficulties hearing through the speaker and the aforementionedchanges), so I rechecked with the woman at the register. In the background I heard someone say, "hold off on the burgers, he's making more changes." This was followed immediately by a loud groan and, "C'mon man!" The woman at the register was polite and verified the order was actually NOT correct in the system, so she corrected it, read it back, and I paid. At that point, I was told to park in the front and wait for someone to bring out the food. I was happy to wait, as I understood my order was going to take a minute to complete. I thanked the lady for her patience and pulled around to wait. A few minutes later, a young man brought out my bag. I thanked him as well, and left for home (I live about 7 mins away). Well, imagine my surprise when I got home and the burger wrappers were not marked at all. So, I think to myself, "No no problem... I am sure they were just busy and didn't take the time to mark the wrappers." I opened them up, and HALF the burgers were made incorrectly. I immediately tried calling the BK to speak with someone about the mixup. However, I was unable to speak with anyone, as after calling in, and choosing 4 to "speak to a manager on duty", the automated system rang 3 times before dropping the call... I thought it was odd behavior for an automated system, so I tried again... rinse and repeat FOUR times! No person answered; there was no option to leave a message for a call back; and, now I am left without a meal for half my family. (I am not going back tonight because I am too frustrated to deal with it, I have to feed the my family something else now, and I have work to do.)
I understand that this is "fast food", and having a large order with multiple changes can be frustrating. That's why I am always as patient and polite to food service workers as possible. All I ask for is to recieve my food as I requested it and without the unnecessary attitude. I don't expect to get anything out of this post, but I do hope a manager sees it and reviews it with the team there at BK to impress upon the staff the importance of quality control and good customer service. This time, it was frustrating and resulted in wasted time and money. Worst case scenario, however, is that an allergen is missed on an order, and someone takes a trip to the hospital...
Anyways, my rant is over now. I hope anyone reading this finds it...
Read moreMy first experience ever at Burger King! Never again. Order was completely wrong, along with ROTTEN lettuce, never got a receipt, went back and spoke to manager who was great but said he would get in trouble if I got a refund because they have given so many refunds already and haven’t been open long. Also, said he couldn’t give me a refund because I had no receipt and acknowledged he never gave me a receipt but said his system wouldn’t generate one after the fact (within minutes) even though my order was still on the board for all to see???!!!! Suggested I come back the following day to speak to his a manager who would absolutely give me a refund. I returned the next day, spoke with that manager who was familiar with the situation and she said “ hold on I’ll be right back” and scurried into her office. She NEVER came out again after that but had another employee tell me if I didn’t leave she was told to call the police. This is all over a fast food meal keep in mind. A lousy $21.43 I’m curious as to whether or not the regional Manager to this location will care enough to learn more and take the opportunity as a learning...
Read moreSo in the news you see your partner bks are going bankrupt, I know why now… walked in at 9:20( open till 10) and I was standing on the front ready to order. The guy behind the counter didn’t acknowledge me at all, ok cool he is fulfilling orders, give me some kind of proof you know I exist. Another guy comes up, but nope he’s just clocking out, doesn’t say anything to me either. As I’m leaving this joke of an establishment the original guy has the audacity to say have a good night…. Thanks dude! Glad I made your night easier by you giving us the cold shoulder and you didn’t have to put together an order. I really can’t wait for the what-a-burger to open next to you, hopefully a better fast food restaurant replaces this sorry joke of a “restaurant “ Also kinda sad you have to leave a giant note saying to leave the doors unlocked and lights on till 10…. Maybe you should hire more competent staff, or add talk to your customers on the note. Good luck with bankruptcy hopefully chick fil a takes over that nice building you guys...
