Conducted business with Alexis Zabel. The product served to us was simply not good and instead of throwing it away, we asked to exchange for a new flavor. Alexis proceeded to dip our new flavor, watched us toss the first cup away and then she charged us. There was no visible signage stating that returns/exchanges weren't permissible. So, we asked why she did not inform us and instead agree to exchange and then charge us. That when we asked to see the store policy.
Alexis became rude and said that we had to pay for the new scoop of ice cream. We asked to speak with a manager. She proceeded to call and manager and did not get an answer. So, we asked for a refund and she said that we could also not get a refund. So we argued about that being a poor policy and that there had to be something that could be done to accommodate us. In the middle of explaining our sentiments, Alexis said "GURL, BYE". We were flabbergasted. We proceeded to express ourselves saying that her response was completely unprofessional and unnecessary. Alexis then says that the establishment was not a professional establishment and therefore she did not need to act accordingly.
It was clear that our service was not valued here at all. We will never return to this Fatty Daddy's...
Read moreStopped in here to grab a scoop of ice cream after leaving First Friday last week. Cute little place with lots of flavors/toppings and some unique offerings. I just ordered a waffle cone with caramel pecan ice cream. The lady working either forgot or didn’t hear me say I wanted a cone so it came in a cup. I knew they were getting ready to close so I just said it was fine and started to eat my ice cream. She then came back to hand me a cone while I was sitting down. While it was a nice gesture it was awkward because then I attempted to scoop the ice cream into my cone at the table and it made a mess. Not sure that I would make a trip to go back there but if I did for some reason I would try something else altogether or...
Read moreAverage quality ice cream, definitely overpriced. I can buy nice cream for the same price for better value, more unique flavors, and higher quality ingredients. They offer a variety of other options like macarons and boba, but it seems like these were added to the menu for additional profit instead of quality ingredients for customers. Since the ice cream is what they're known for and I found it extremely average, I'm speculating that the other desserts are also average (ie. I didn't try the other desserts).
The venue itself is pretty bare, no music when I was there, and they primarily use the fridge for their own storage instead of additional items to purchase. Not a problem, just...
