In line waiting to be seated and looking at the menu thinking, nothing is really standing out. (I wanted a steak) I was speaking to a gentleman ahead of us and he said no matter what I ordered, I wouldn't be disappointed. He pointed out Marco Bianco and said, because of that man, I would have a great lunch. Still unsure of what to get, (other than the caparese salad) I asked the waiter. He suggested the Market sandwich. (It was Tuesday so, the Tuesday Market sandwich which had a fig jam. My husband had the Italian combo (i think that's what it was called) we split the salad and our sandwiches arrived. The bread was freshly baked (i was actually watching Marco and another gentleman taking them out of the oven.) This was perhaps one of the best sandwiches I ever had. The mozz salad wasn't as good as the one at the Pizza Bianco location (we had that the day before) but it was very tasty.the rice pudding was creamy and very sweet and my husband said the chocolate cheese cake was delicious! This will definitely be one of our stops the next time around!!! Oh and Marco engaged in some awesome conversations. Ask about the paintings on...
Read moreIt should not take multiple (unsuccessful) attempts to get a slice of pizza. Showed up on a Saturday afternoon, waited in line for 15 minutes, no big deal it smells incredible and a crowd speaks for itself as it must be good. The chalk menu doesn't have pizza crossed off so they must still have some. Get to the counter, ask for a slice and am told they are out. No big deal, ask for a whole pie, I am told they are completely out. Ask if I dine-in if pizza is available, told no. I'm determined to check out this pizza so I stop in when they open Monday to ensure they have pizza available. I'm one of the first people in a good sized line to get to the counter, I ask for two slices. Only to be told they won't start making pizza for another half hour. If your signature item isn't available but in a narrow window of time, that should be posted and the best time to get pizza should be recommended. I'm going to try again but it shouldn't take 3 or more attempts to get a piece of pizza during prime lunch times over the course of three different days...
Read moreWent in after an appointment. Look anyone knows from my reviews I'm more comfortable in a dive bar with blue collar folks just chilling. However, I've frequented a many "nicer" joints in my day. Service: Sooo this place is limited supply place, meaning they make a specific amount and when they're done they close. I came in and they were close to be out. Sooo servers were more focused on closing and really didn't give much thought to me. They were a smidgen impatient and condescending when I asked for things they were out of because I didn't catch them saying it a couple times. Food: Looked and was tasty. Actually reasonable pricing and I enjoy getting pizza by slice. Huge slices. Atmosphere: Well, service being part of this stepped on my toes a bit but... this place is pretty nice. I think with a little bit of intentional tweaking, making sure service status on point open to close, it'd be next level. But hey I also think anziones is best Italian in Valley. Do what do I know. This place is good. Worth your time and...
