Mi Pueblo — Restaurant in Phoenix

Met a friend for lunch and he told us lunch is a good time to come because prices are much higher for dinner and on weekends, go figure.

Prices were ok considering you get refried beans, rice and endless chips and salsa. I could have simply had those for lunch, but more on those later.

I ordered the chicken soft tacos and including the above I also got 2 tacos, so a pretty good size lunch for me. The tacos had plenty of tasty chicken in them and the refried beans didn't have a great feel or taste to them. The rice was a bit tasteless but then again I'm not a rice fan.

Now for the unlimited chips and salsa bar...the chips come out fresh frequently and the salsa is replenished in a timely manner. They have 3 degrees of hotness but I only ate the mid range. Great taste with just the right amount of spice. And did I mention it's unlimited!? Yea, this could have been my lunch for sure with maybe a side a refried beans!

You order at the counter then they bring your food to you. Drinks are self serve with soda and tea for options. I saw someone with a margarita so I guess they serve alcohol too.

It's in a strip mall so parking is ample.

It wasn't very busy at lunchtime so getting a table was easy. Wouldn't mind coming again but will probably stick with lunch for the pricing (if this is incorrect I'd love to hear from...

I have been going to this restaurant for years with my family. Service was usually good and food was always great so we returned. On Saturday 2/23 we went to Mi Pueblo for a late lunch. We ordered a mixed seafood plate as an appetizer. There was a ROACH mixed in with the food! The waitress, Jazmin, took the plate immediately before we had a chance to take a picture. She offered to take that plate off the bill. The manager, Francisco, never came out to apologize or take responsibility for serving a roach in our food. We asked to speak to him and after waiting about 5 mins he finally came out. We informed him that we thought it was bad business/customer service to charge for our meal and to not personally address or handle the situation. He didn't have anything to say and still didn't apologize. We will never dine at this establishment again and do not recommend it at all. In the past we also saw a big roach walking in the restaurant which was probably and indicator of the cleanliness of the place. Beware and...

There was an offer to order online. Ended up being Postmates who would deliver the food. After receiving updates the food was on the way in 20, 30 then 40 minutes after an hour I received a message from Postmates the other had been canceled. So I call the restaurant myself reorder so of the same items not all. When I get to I’m confronted like I did something wrong. I’m told they made two exact orders which is not true because I made changes to the second order because I was told the first order was canceled. Some of the food from the first order was transferred to the second because it was extremely cold and soggy. I felt like I was caught between Postmates & this restaurant’s issues. All of the food I had ordered should have been freshly made it wasn’t. As I was leaving unknown to the cashier I speak Spanish also & as I was leaving after being lectured by her, she turns around & tells the other other waitresses “I knew it was the same order “ no it wasn’t my order...
