Dear CHOLLA LIBRARY Team,

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding an incident that occurred during my recent visit today” 10/01/2024”. After attending a music class with my 20-month-old daughter, she excitedly went to select a toy from the prize basket, a customary reward for children who clean up the play area.

However, I was approached by a security staff member who addressed me in an aggressive tone, demanding that I notify her before my daughter takes a toy. This interaction was not only embarrassing but also felt unprofessional, especially in front of other patrons.

I have been a loyal customer for five years, and this was the first time I felt humiliated in your establishment. I believe it is important for staff to treat all visitors with respect and empathy. I kindly request that this matter be reviewed to ensure a positive experience for all families in the future.

This location was rude. Has no respect for the elderly. And if you are carrying more than three bags. Or have a wagon. With a service dog in it. In 112 degree weather. They will deny you access to the cooling station. They do not seem to care about anybody's well-being. They were willing to let people supper heat stroke. If you're looking for a safe place to be in the severe heat. Do not go to this location. Is also difficult to get to if you are handicapped. And my mother is 68 and they would not even let her stay in by herself. Just because of our stuff. They wouldn't even let us sit outside in the shade for just a little bit to cool off. Does cooling center library. Need to have their morals checked. And reported to human services. If I could give this location lower than one star I would. It is Saturday at 845pm hours. Thought I would take advantage of the extended hours.I went upstairs to organize a notebook for a work training. Needed a 3-hole punch. They didn't have one only a single hole punch. I decided to ask downstairs at the front desk this older lady with short white hair asked me if she could help me I asked her the same question she asked what I needed a 3-hole punch for I told her and showed her my binder. She looked at me and said Yes I have one but I can't let you use it. Poor Customer Service. I simply said why did you ask me what I needed it if you were not going to let me use it. RUDE. Ill stick with the regular staff...
