Ojos Locos Sports Cantina (Metro - Phoenix, AZ) — Restaurant in Phoenix

I wanted to enjoy my time here, but we were forgotten about multiple times... We are big foodies and LOVE going out for a good time. We have frequented certain bars and restaurants similar to this and have had GREAT experiences. Unfortunately, this was nowhere near a great experience. We visited on a Tuesday night and were seated right away (plus). The server came over, and we just ordered some waters while we looked at the menu. I ordered a drink - which was actually really good! I wanted another one, but she never offered, and when I asked, she didn't bring it 😑... it is noisy - the music is super loud, so maybe she didn't hear me? I did point at the drink and everything, though, so I'm not sure what happened... just lack of communication all around because I ordered boneless wings and they came bone in. I told the server right away what I ordered and she said if I ordered boneless wings, she would have written it down and she knows I didn't say that ... 😬🤯 I'm not one to argue, so I didn't say anything, but she did bring me the right plate. Overall, it brought down the whole atmosphere. We wanted to come to chill and have a couple drinks but that's not the vibe the server offered 😬 she didn't offer more drinks and hardly checked in. I'm not sure what happened but we waited a long time in between check ins... I've actually written this whole thing without her checking in and asking if I want a drink or a box or our check... Coming back is a definite no for us I do want to add, the food was ok. Again, it's just the vibe from the server not checking in/ not listening... which.. she still hasn't 😅 idk just throws off everything when there's no server! Wanted to edit to add that we are STILL sitting here, waiting for the check ... it's been at least 20 minutes now... posted an extra video of the food on the table... at this point, I feel like we could just leave and the server would not even notice... but we are definitely not like that. Again, might be different if we had some drinks at least. Edited to change the atmosphere to 1 star because of this :/ ANOTHER edit to add... I left a restaurant for the first time without paying... my husband, better than I, went and asked to please pay. They then asked for our pin number? What a weird situation....

I visited Ojos Locos last month for Taco Tues and brought some out-of-town family members. We arrived at around 4:30 pm walked into the main entrance and had a great dinner. Last night I decided to go again with my girlfriend. We showed up around 7:30, happy, and ready for another great Taco Tuesday. As I attempted to open the door to the establishment, I heard a voice from my right state “ Oh! You going to just walk right by me?!?!?” - in an aggressive tone. I looked over and there was a gentleman in a security uniform looking down on me. He repeated himself with “You see me standing here and you’re just going to walk past me?!?!” I had no idea what he was talking about. Maybe he wanted to see my I.D.? I had no way of knowing. Then he pulls out his metal detector and says “empty your pockets and put your arms up." The he proceeds to keep going with “You think I’m standing here for nothing? If I wanted to stand around, I’d be on the beach." I have a USMC background and I’ve worked with federal law enforcement. I understand security. This guy was WAY overboard and EXTREMELY rude. I will probably not go again knowing this security was there, and I would advise friends and family to not go as well. This was a terrible start to date night. This was the most unwelcoming experience I have ever had at...

The Good: Most female Server are easy on the eyes. Good food is what keeps them open. Compliments to the kitchen for their great food... The Bad: The Servers are poor to their duties. Server never bring all utensils and plates all at once... I asked another Server for something my actual Server forgot, she replied; it's not my table, nor am I your Server (just like that)... I finally was assisted by someone cleaning up tables...

Twin Peak Servers are customer-centric hands down!!! The Ugly: The music is extremely loud during lunch and evening hours. I took clients there for lunch and conduct business. We asked the male Manager if he could turn the music down, he just smiled and walked away... We too walked away couple blocks south, to eat ribs and talk shop...

Another common problem is Servers not providing itemized receipts for our records (specially for business tax write-offs)... I've visited ojos locos metro for a total of 5 times, and all visits had some or all issues mentioned above... I hope Upper Management make proper changes, for...
