A friend recommended MMD, and it didn’t disappoint me as I enjoyed a bowl of their matzah ball soup and Reuben sandwich with creamy coleslaw. The soup had a very good chicken broth. I’d prefer more vegetables; and more than just carrots and celery. The matzah balls could have had more seasoning or flavor. The Reuben had a generous portion that I took half home for later. Enjoyed the pickle, and would be nice if they gave a 1/2 instead of a 1/4. The coleslaw was fine, and could have been more creamier. A lot of the dressing sat in the bottom of the bowl. The deli is spacious, and clean. Additional seating is outside, and when the weather turns nicer it will be the place to sit and enjoy your meal. The bathrooms are clean. Parking may be a challenge during their busy lunch hour. Before leaving I grabbed a slice of cherry-cheesecake. It was okay. My total tab for lunch was over $40. Tough call choosing between MMD and Scott’s Generation. Neither can compete with Sherman’s Deli in Palm Springs, CA. But here we are in Phoenix. I can’t drive 4-5 hours for great deli food. So the search continues for the best deli in town.

What a bummer. I had to wait for 20 minutes for a Ruben. I the meantime my wife ate her corned beef and cabbage dinner. It was a special outing for her on St. Patrick’s Day. We usually make it ourselves. She liked hers and my Ruben arrived while she was finishing hers. We spent about $60. I can’t tell you it was worth it. My Ruben had soggy rye bread on one side of the sandwich, the down side. It must’ve sat there a long time. The cherry cheese cake looked very impressive and tasted pretty good. The chocolate shake was good. They hand out a ton of meat and I always plan on eating only half and taking the rest to go. We’ll come back again but it’s not going to be for a while. I wish it was a little more like a Jewish deli than a cafeteria but what do I know. I’ve only been to a couple of real Jewish delis. I’m always excited to go here because it brings back a lot of memories from my childhood and my Jewish family members. like I said we’ll be back.

When it comes down to enjoying an excellent hot pastrami sandwich this is the place. My go to for sure! The food is always consistent and service is on point. I have used their services to cater events and even more enjoyed the turkey for thanksgiving - it is perfectly flavored and cooked. Remember this as thanksgiving is approaching. The last two years I have skip cooking my own turkey because Miracle Mile’s is just so delicious 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼Josh, his family, and the crew are the most friendliest, honest, and genuine folks in the valley. Thanks y’all for your consistency, your support and your involvement in Phoenix community.

First of all DO NOT believe the pictures off the their web site. You WILL be disappointed. I am a food guy who worked in deli's and restaurants for 30 years in NY and just moved to AZ a year ago. I was looking for a Diner or a Deli as I was craving the Roast Beef hero. What I got was 4 pieces of nasty , store bought lunch meat,2 pieces of wax american cheese on a stale "again" store bought hero that was just nasty. They didn't have ice berg lettuce and the tomato's were shot so I just had onion and mayo. They charged $16.00 for this shameful thing of a sandwich which cost them LESS THEN $1.00 to make. Yes sir, i know my food cost. I also ordered the Potato Salad which was equally as nasty and that was $4.00. A cup of potato for $4.00?? INSANE! And nasty just makes it 10X worse. People....TRUST THIS FOODIE FROM NEW YORK and save your money. Stay far away from this place. I was there at 5:00 pm and place was empty. First clue, right? I will give them props for one thing. My wife had the Turkey on rye and she said it was ok and did eat the sandwich, every bite. She didn't like it enough to say "let's go back" but she didn't rip it apart like I am doing. We judge honestly. If a place deserves it, they absolutely get it. But if they do not, like this one.....THEY DON'T GET...

Decent sandwiches. Way overpriced. Tiny side dishes for the price. Update: 5/7/22 Because we're all forced to put up with the consequences of lazy low-information voters prices are even higher and the money you use to pay those prices is worth even less... Had the Straw this time with Mac - cheese side. Both were very good despite the small portions (relative to the price). The portions were an adequate meal, but i could have gotten 3 good meals out of 17 dollars elsewhere. The one thing that is appropriate for the price is the service. I suppose I should be insulted, but they took one look at me and knew I needed help carrying my tray (I have balance issues). The young men and women that bus the tables will do just about anything for you quickly and politely. Keeping my review 4 stars. There are plenty of people that wouldn't sneeze at nearly $40 for two sandwiches and two small sides. I'm just not one of them. It will probably be another 5 years before I return here. If I want a quality sandwich at a more reasonable price then I'll go see how Chompie's is surviving the dark specter of a Democrat...
