The park is always clean and we love coming here. Our doggie finds some of the best pup friends and we always meet interesting folks. Lots of water and scoopers. I always try to bring some extra baggies though and add to the community bag area. This is definitely a well cared for doggie park and recreational park. Be kind and put your baby on the leash until they are inside the park because the entrance to the big dog and lil dog side is right next to each other and I let my guy jump out of the car while I was grabbing our stuff, and Thank God he ran up to a NICE pittie but had that been bad it would have been on me and I was a bad puppy mom today so dont do as I did, out your babies on leashes until they are inside the park then let them roam... it's just safer for everyone. This place is all good vibes and peaceful pups and owners so if you come by, bring the good energy and let us all love each other's doggos in a well fenced...
Read moreBeautiful and huge sports complex with multiple soccer grounds with seating stands, volleyball courts, basketball courts, tennis courts, baseball grounds, ramadas and a food stall near the basketball courts to buy chips, drinks, etc. Parking lot has not been paved in a long while so its pretty rough with lane markings no longer visible or about to disappear. Lots of construction going on inside and out on the streets so some roads from the south might not be accessible. Landscaping is beautiful and hence inspite of having so many facilities nearby it doesn't feel crowded. Playing facilities are well maintained and are usually busy during the evenings & weekends. Nice & broad walk ways to go for a walk, stroll, run or stop by just to watch the games in action. Great job by City of Phoenix for having such a beautiful facility for the public to use. Had the parking lot been better ...would have definitely...
Read moreOne of the finest sports parks publicly owned. Named after the finest female Governor ever in the United States(IMO). This park is still well maintained since her days of an Umpire, Official, and Governor. Conveniently located in what is now "Central Metro Phoenix" and now on the light rail! Fields for Softball and Baseball, Soccer (football to many), Basketball Courts, Tennis Courts, Pickleball, Racquetball, a new DOG PARK and much more. Family Friendly for your daughters, sons, and personal recreation. As a sports official this is A GEM the City of Phoenix should be proud of and never allow a park of such great and historic significance to degrade. While current condition could be improved it is significantly better than many less than the professional parks. Visit, visit with family and loved...
