Just picked up an order to go and it was not made correctly at all. I've never had this happen before. I ordered the Lavash Shawarma Wrap, no onion, add pickles and tahini... He even verified my order over the phone, but when we got there it wasn't ready yet, which was fine, but the order taker and the chef had some sort of conversation then my food came out... What did I get? A skinny, dry chicken wrap without the added tahini, one stewed tomato... pickles thrown on my salad, not in the wrap like they were supposed to be... and guess what...It was FILLED with onion!! Very upset. It takes us 15 minutes each way to go pick up our orders and we were starving. We even left a tip, but now wish we hadn't. It's not like you can open this wrap and check to see if they've made it right while you're there... You don't know until you take a big bite at home that it is filled with onions. When we got home and discovered the food was made so badly, my wife called and they hung up before even saying hello. They must have caller ID and knew exactly what was going on. I'm blown away at the service tonight...like I said, they are usually very good and we like the guy that takes the orders. We go there 2-3 times a month usually. Very dissatisfied and even more mad that we got hung up on before we could even say hello to the phone order taker to let them know of...
Read moreI have been dinning at the Pita Jungle restaurant's around the valley for at least 10 years. Specifically this one for about 5 years. At first the food was above and beyond delicious and fresh with service to match. NOT anymore, this evening I ordered the chicken Lavash w/OUT onions and added pickles. They put onions in and forgot the pickles so they put them on the side. The wrap was cold, dry and the meat too. I also ordered a small greek salad that arrived with old wilted leaves. The salads were made of spring mix until recently, not some cheap sad lettuce. Just like the wraps also were made plump with fillings, hot and made to delicious perfection. The portions and QUALITY have all gone DOWN hill. Not to mention the packaging for the to go items are over kill with fancy plastic that is not recyclable and all around a waste. I miss the quality, quantity and perfection that once was the Pita Jungle way. It is sad that I am leaving this review. I have given this place may of opportunities by letting things slide and chalking it up to them just having an "off day" now the off days are the norm. This was a frequent dinning place for my wife and I, like 3 times a week. To nights take out order may be the last time we eat here. R.I.P....
Read moreTook 35 mins to serve our order. Served 4 other customers that came before us. Their "take care of" easier orders process doesn't work well because you need to remember that you are still distracting the same cooks from the orders rant keep falling behind. The restaurant was empty and only had 2 small tables used and ours, the was no reason to take this long and then when I asked why all my family's orders where delayed they blamed one on 1 piece of salmon I ordered. The lady's on the kitchen kept murmuring in Spanish complaining.
I have lived in Arcadia 20 years and I come here once in a while and every time it is a sour experience and I have given them many chances expecting things to get better but they don't, this new bad experience reminded me of why I don't come eat often to this restaurant.
The seasonal green chili was very very salty and it was very simply with tahini sauce and rice. None of the items even if they are cooked fresh needed to take this long. Bad excuses for...
