Yod Thai Eatery — Restaurant in Phoenix

Came here hoping to find a nice Thai spot after reading solid reviews…left disappointed. To start off, the restaurant itself was not kept clean or tidy, windows and floors and tables and restroom were all dirty and the trash in restrooms was overflowing. Ordering was pretty unorganized as we ordered then were sat after waiting for a table to be cleaned as their were numerous empty but dirty tables. Ordered pineapple fried rice and yellow curry, both with tofu and asked for medium heat. The fried rice had no egg or pineapple, there was zero spice and very little flavor, tofu was pretty bad. The yellow curry was very watery and all the vegetables and potatoes tasted off, almost old. We could hear a microwave being utilized a lot in the kitchen and the food definitely seemed reheated in a microwave. The water served was warm tap water, the dishes were chipped, nobody ever asked how the food was after served and since we had already paid there was zero interaction after being served. We visited during the “soft” open, we waited an hour and 45 minutes to receive our food, and the portions were quite small. We had a party of four, two people finished their meals before the other two received their food. The server did not know what the items on the menu were when we ordered, and our food was delivered to the wrong table on all four occasions. I understand they were just getting used to the business, but it was quite the long wait for extremely midline Thai food. The drunken noodles were very small portioned and included none of the spice we ordered. The panang curry was about the only star of the night.
