I was super excited about this place since it has so many amazing reviews. I walked in and I told the waiter I just needed to place a to go order. He told me to head to the back and someone would help me there. I went to the back and stood to the side of their computer. No one acknowledged me, they would do stuff on the computer and completely walk past me like I didn’t exist. Even the one who told me to go to the back, came back and acted like I wasn’t there. After a few minutes of this a nice girl with cute red holiday nails (sorry didn’t catch her name) was putting some plates down and I got her attention. She said “oh my gosh I’m so sorry, I’ll help you!” She got my order, payment, and promptly handed me back my change.
I didn’t have to wait too long for my food, only about 15 minutes! I got to my vehicle and there was sauce all over the bottom of the bag, but I had some napkins to soak it up so it wouldn’t go through the bag. I got home and found my sushi roll that was supposed to have Eel sauce didn’t. No soy sauce given for a To go order so I kind of had plain sushi, but the rest of my items were pretty good. I’m pregnant and can only have fried sushi, so I can’t say anything about the regular sushi. I would like to give this place another shot when I can actually taste the whole menu, as it looked really good. Hopefully my next experience is better than this one. Will...
Read moreAlthough it’s a nice little hole in the wall in a considerably small space, boy was it packed! That was the first clue to telling me what a gem I had decided to give a try today. The environment was clean, aesthetic, and a pleasant atmosphere to be in. When getting seated, a high chair was brought out for my 1 year old, and the waiter took it upon himself to wipe down and sanitize the high chair. I immediately appreciated him and the cleanliness of the restaurant. The servers were very attentive, friendly, and pleasant to talk to while ordering. I got the Tonkotsu ramen with additional Chashu pork and was not disappointed whatsoever. I had been on a search for good, delicious, soul cleansing Tonkotsu for awhile now. Not only was it extremely affordable at 13.45, but it was delicious and worth the long wait on the waitlist. The char-broiled Chashu paired with the hot creamy broth was everything I needed. It’s very telling when a small restaurant is extremely busy. With how packed it was, we still got our food very fast and served nice and hot! As someone who doesn’t have a large appetite, I surprisingly finished the entire serving it was so good!! I will definitely recommend this place to someone that would like yummy Japanese food in the...

This little hole-in-the-wall Japanese restaurant is an amazing place to eat. I like and love this place. I sneak away to this place at least twice a month sometimes more depending on my schedule and mood.
It is small in size but it feels like home and comfortable at the same time. It is quiet and I like that because I don't like competing with the music or television.
When it comes to service they are more reserved, to say the least. I don't see smiles often or even laughter among the servers. They sometimes welcome you and other times not. However, they are respectful and do ask if everything is okay and if the food is to our liking.
When it comes to drink refills I always have to ask. They don't assume or politely ask if I would like another. That annoys me sometimes but good food overrides that sometimes. That's the reason for my 4 stars for service.
The tables are small and they have big plates so be prepared to do tetris with your food. Since it is a small establishment you will have to sit at a table for 2 if there are 2 of you or a table for 1.
I do have my favorites and I think the pictures will show that to you. I highly recommend this...
