China King Restaurant — Restaurant in Pikesville

Poor service. If you live in an apartment building the delivery people won't bring up your food. After going down to get the food, I came back up to the apartment only to realize that I didn't receive my soda. After speaking with someone at the restaurant we agreed to a credit for the missing soda. About 15 minutes later I get a call from the delivery guy to come down for my soda. I didn't even want to go down for the food let alone go down to fix someone else's mistake. I then called the restaurant and spoke with Josh who was very nice and was about to credit me the $3 for the soda. Then some brash woman and then a man started yelling at him in a language I couldn't comprehend. They snatched the phone from Josh and everything went to hell from there. They demanded I receive the soda and I explained to them that I would not have ordered from them in the first place if I had known that they wouldn't bring up the food and I had no intention of walking down to retrieve the soda and I just wanted a refund. They demanded t I come to the restaurant for the $3. Then they hung up. My husband suggested that I call beyond menu (I ordered through their app). Beyond menu took care of it in just a few minutes. Pass this place by. Ordered first time. Rice was hard got general tso chicken. I don't know what kind of sauce was on it. It was disguising. Don't know what the flavor was. Tasted like something store bought at least you could have added something to take the horrible bitterness away. The tempura chicken was horrible chunks and needed to be fried alone before being added into the dish. Tasted like it was microwaved not a good texture at all. Also the genero tso chicken had onions, broccoli, baby corn mushroom, and carrots. Is that something done in this area? I asked for extra vegetables in the chicken fried rice. Maybe there was a mixup. The onions in the fried rice was raw big chunks onions wow. If you are not going to cooking the rice completely just stop. I kept think what Uncle Roger would say. This was horrible. When did fried rice mean crunchy? I don't think the chicken is real for the rice. Best thing was the fried chicken. Sad when food looks great but tastes horrible. I'm not familiar with asian takeout in this area so maybe that is normal.

To pay so much only for this food and get this is just disrespectful to the farmers who grew the vegetables, rice and the chicken.😡

There were a number of things wrong with this food today, i preordered this morning for lunch at work and got the general Tso's chicken and the fried crab cheese wontons neither was good at all and both went into the trash, first the chicken was very dry and tasted old like a few days old to the point trying to eat one piece was so hard it hurt my teeth so that went into the trash, not to mention the sent a spork instead of an actual fork or chopsticks to try to eat this with lucky we had actual forks here at work , the wonton looked as if they were cooked in old grease and had very little to no filling at all in them a few had none in them and that actually went in the trash as well after having a few and the taste horrible and lack of filling, the egg roll i was given again old grease and tasted old and was over cooked i had to struggle to bite it so needless to say i pretty much wasted 30 for this meal on door dash to only be given 10 of it back for a meal i could not eat at all and will not be ordering from here again i recommend everyone be careful...
