I went to pinecrest backery and ordered several hot sandwiches. One was to eat there and the rest were to go. I specified this. Twenty minutes later they gave all of the sandwiches to go. I asked if I could please eat one there? They opened the bag and retrieved one of the sandwiches. Mind you, while waiting, I saw them take care of several customers who paid for orders in cash and they gave them change etc. They proceeded to open the bag, retrieve a sandwich and unwrap it to place it in a basket. No gloves, no washing of hands just the bare hands. Then they opened the sandwich, bare hands, and realized it was the wrong sandwich. They again asked for the original bag pulled the rest of the sandwiches out. They unwrapped them opened the sandwiches, bare hands again till they found the right one and placed it on a basket. When I sat down to eat my sandwich, it was missing mustard. I went back and said they forgot to put the condiment on the sandwich and if I could please have some. I went back with the condiment sat down and started to put the condiment on the sandwich. Then I realized it was not made properly. I went into the bag and realized all the sandwiches were missing condiments and were not made properly. I went back and informed them that the sandwiches were wrong and missing condiments. They looked and did nothing. Again no washing of hand and no gloves and not even an offer to remedy things. Just nothing they just stood there. By then I was getting really sick to my stomach and grossed out. They were not warring gloves when the packaged the sandwiches. They were just serving it up so that the customers and consume it with no regards to peoples health. There are regulations for this. People can get really sick. An elderly person and her husbands were going to consume these sandwiches. Currency has all kinds of bad stuff on it. I was really sick to my stomach and majorly grossed out. They again made not attempted refund my money, no apologies just nothing just stares. I just left! I left everything I had to pay upfront for. I just left. Unbelievable, no regards to the community to the customers nothing. I will never go back. I will tell anyone and everyone that I see, meet or know about my experience at Pinecrest Bakery!!!!!!!!!! I never complain and I am laid back and easy going. But this is just really MAJORLY I MEAN MAJORLY GROSS AND DANGEROUSE FOR PEOPLES...
Read moreI ordered a pastelito de jamón, Colombian style empanada, large papa rellena , yuca rellena , and pan de bono. It totaled out to be $16.54 with tips.
Brutal honesty : The only thing that was decent tasting was the papa rellena and Colombian empanada. But the meat inside the pastelito and the yuca rellena had a foul taste. As if they were spoiled. The pan de bono was fair but I can't say it's no better than the ones you buy from 7-11. I had higher expectations because I figured a 24 hr bakery is 24 hrs for a reason. Round the clock excellent fresh food. But reality told me otherwise. Another reason for low stars is the graveyard shift's inability to make the specialty iced coffee drinks. The ladies were nice and accommodating but I asked if they didn't serve the specialty drinks because that sector is closed overnight. She replies its because none of them knew how to make the drinks. Perhaps this constructive criticism can help the bakery moving forward. I want it to succeed because the ambience in the bakery was actually serene and impressive but more action is needed for those two extra stars.
I'm down here from Orlando and I can't recall a 24 hr bakery up there so I fell in love with the idea. Which is why I went with a frenzied enthusiasm. But it doesn't mean I was going to sugar coat anything from...
Read moreTerrible experience! I went into this Pinecrest bakery today and it will be my last time going in! I went there for one thing, some fresh orange juice. And when I went to sit down to drink it i realized there was things floating around in it. At first I thought it was just the seeds but on further examination it was 3 sour flies (fruit flies) floating in my $5 (plus tip that I should've taken back) cup of orange juice!!!! When I went to take it back of course the lady doesn't speak any English. When I asked for someone who does she said no one there speaks English! How are you running a business and not have one bilingual person on the floor especially in the middle of the afternoon? Thankfully the CUSTOMER in front of me tried to translate to her what it was. The employee gave me an attitude and said ok fine she'll give me a new one and proceeded as if she was going to make me another cup of oj in the same DIRTY jug that the first cup came from. Being 9 months pregnant I didn't not want to take the risk of getting sick from whatever may have been left in the jug so I ask for my money back. Which was given with the most disgraceful attitude. This is truly upsetting being as I was once a supporter of Pinecrest bakery being a reliable place to get my midnight cravings but after this experience I will...
