Ah, my friend, let me tell you a story—a story of pasta, passion, and a little place that’s easy to miss but impossible to forget! Picture this: it’s a fine evening, and we're cruising down 66th, my belly rumbling like a Vespa on cobblestones. The craving? Italian. The mission? A plate of pasta to make my Nonna proud. And then, like a sign from the heavens—or Google Maps—I find it: A’Amor’e Pizzeria Grill & Pub.
Now, I’ll admit, the sign outside didn’t exactly scream “pasta paradise.” “Pizza, Subs, Dinners, Burgers, Phillies, Ruebens”—mamma mia, where’s the “pasta” in all this?! But hope flickered in my heart, fueled by the word dinner. So, I parked the car, took a leap of faith, and walked into this unassuming little strip mall gem.
First impressions? Bellissimo! The place was bustling, packed with locals who clearly knew they’d found something special. The decor? Let’s just say it’s not trying to be the Roman Colosseum. No fake vines, no cheesy Italian clichés—just a simple, clean, and open space that felt like home. There’s a big bar on one side, a peek into the kitchen on the other, and a vibe that says, “Relax, you’re about to eat well.” The staff? Welcoming like an Italian aunt who hasn’t seen you in years.
Now for the menu—oh, the sweet joy of spotting pasta! My eyes zeroed in on the A’Amore Pasta Combo, and let me tell you, this dish was amore at first bite. For just $13.99, I got a mountain of pasta, a salad, and two rolls. And the sauce? Dio mio, it’s now in my personal top three, maybe even top two. Rich, flavorful, and kissed by the culinary gods. I also added meatballs—giant, dense, and packed with flavor. Honestly, I’m still wondering if it was the sauce that made everything sing. Oh, and those Parmesan garlic rolls? Perfetto. Soft, garlicky, and perfect for scooping up every last drop of that divine sauce.
We sat there, happily stuffed, I couldn’t help but notice the regulars chatting with the bartender, who was also our server. It was clear: this wasn’t just a restaurant; it was a community. People come back here because they know what’s good. And now, so do I.
The verdict? A’Amor’e is a hidden gem that deserves a spot on any Italian food lover’s list. If you’re in the area, skip the chain restaurants and find your way here. But seriously, A’Amor’e, put pasta on your sign already—you’re underselling yourselves! And me? I’ll be back to try the pizza. If it’s anything like the pasta, I might never leave.

Read moreI ordered a grilled chicken salad from their menu. Which comes with greens tomato cucumber celery cheese mushroom and onions. When I placed the order, I was not told that they no longer made the salad. They assumed that I wanted a chicken ceasar salad which I did not want. When I called to let them know of the mistake, The lady who took the order her name was Dana. Apologized and said that she did not know that that was what I wanted. She put the owner/manager on the phone I explained to him the mistake and asked him what he could do to rectify it. He told me nothing. That is not his menu. Although the menu that I ordered from clearly has his address and his company name on it. He proceeded to tell me that the menu I had was four years old and that he is the owner of the establishment now. I informed him him that my entire coworker staff orders from them at least once a week, I asked again if he would fix the mistake the gentleman said that 1. He didn't believe that we ordered from him and 2 that I just wanted free food. As you can see from the pictures that I posted the menu from this restaurant is not the salad that I asked for. It is quite sad knowing how times are tough. When people do get a chance to order out, they do not get the product that they asked for. It is even more disheartening that a company that I have been ordering from personally for the last 8 years. can not do something to make their mistake right. I will not be going back to this restaurant ever again. And for the rudeness and disrespect I would think that everybody should...
Read moreOrdered from here while visiting family. Very disappointing. The pizza was horrible. Crust way to thin, next to no sauce, and I don't even know where to begin with how disgusting the cheese was. We also ordered garlic knots which without exaggerating could have been used to play golf. They were hard and under cooked which leads me to believe they were stale. Finally we ordered wings. These were the worst wings I've had in my entire life. They were so overcooked that you couldnt eat them, Im thinking they also were old or they forgot them in the fryer. Coming from NJ I never expect to get pizza like at home but edible would be nice. For those in the reviews that say its just like NY pizza I don't know where in NY you've eaten but this isn't even close. How could I forget the service. I called and read from the menu exactly what I wanted, a Family special. Which was 2 large pizzas w topping on one, garlic knots, and wings. The lady on the phone asked me what topping I'd like on the one pizza. When I picked up the order they only had one pizza w the order. I said I ordered the Family Special and there should be another pizza, the lady told me that's not what she heard, she said I ordered an Anytime Special. I guess I can't read a menu because apparently it had nothing to do with her not being able to hear while taking the order due to the place also having a bar inside which was crowded and loud. This place did nothing right. The picture shows a slice from a...
