Sam I Am Bagels — Restaurant in Piscataway Township

Today, I visited this business for the third time. During my first two visits I found that the breakfast sandwich was prepared with what appeared to be undercooked bacon after driving away. I returned for my second visit and placed the same order. I made the owner who was present aware of what appeared to be undercooked pork / bacon during my first visit.. He assured me that it would be corrected. I returned today and again placed the same order. Unfortunately, I trusted that the owner had previously told me the truth but was wrong. Not only was a portion of the bacon undercooked but, the coffee was cold. Who wants to drink cold coffee in the morning. Not me. It appears that the owner's employees need closure supervision. Maybe the owner is travelling too often to give his employees the supervision that they clearly require. This will be my last visit. They were given the opportunity to self correct and failed. I’ve been coming to this establishment for 3 1/2 years, the customer service and food had been homely and good! Most recently a new younger guy was hired to take orders and the overall service went down immediately. He’s rude and short each time I call my order in. I asked for my bacon to be cooked through not burned to bacon bits as it was previously and his comment to me was “whatever”! When I came In to pick up my food I asked him was there a problem with me asking how I want my food prepared that I was paying for or with me he became combative and his voice pitch increased. I told them to keep the food and they’ve lost a loyal customer that frequent weekly, I’m done! This wasn’t the first time he was rude when taking my order and I ask that he repeat back what I ordered to ensure it was accurate which should automatically be done! THIS BUSINESS DOES NOT ENFORCE WEARING MASKS INSIDE THEIR STORE

I’ve enjoyed getting lunch at this shop for almost 5 years, great quality and prices. However today I was very disappointed to see numerous customers enter the establishment without a mask on, walk up to the counter and order food. When I asked why they’re not enforcing the mask mandate like every other business in the state, they said it’s not a law, just a policy. They said I can get my sandwiches elsewhere if I’m uncomfortable with it.
