THE best bubble tea in Pittsburgh!!!
The greatest thing about this place is definitely the freshly-cooked, warm tapioca! It's none of that rock-hard instant boba nonsense you find at other places; the workers spend nearly two hours cooking each batch of tapioca, and they're always cooking fresh batches throughout the day (heart)
Fuku Tea DOES NOT use milk tea powders or pre-make the milk teas; every drink is freshly shaken with a clean shaker.
They make everything so simple for you; everything is laid out on the screens, so make sure you take the time to read and follow the steps if you're creating your own bubble tea :) It's always so fun combining up to two flavors! The toppings they have also change at times, so it's always exciting to see what they're going to sell next.
Another amazing thing about Fuku Tea is the service. The drink-maker even listens to the customer order as they're ordering and has the drink finished by the time the customer is done paying!!
If you're lactose-intolerant or have extreme allergies, they're very accommodating and can even make the drink for you right in the cup!
All of the workers are adorable and friendly too, so don't hesitate to ask questions! They'll let you sample toppings if the shop isn't overflowing with customers.
And the snacks change all the time too; they have a nice selection of sweet Asian treats.
And one tip: don't order from Postmates, their menu is completely messed up and different from Fuku's ever-changing one (they're always coming up with new drink ideas).

Read moreHigh quality bubble tea. After my somewhat disappointing purchase from Love Tea, I wanted to try a different boba store as well. This place definitely delivered. They have many of the classics as well as their own unique options. Plus, there are 2 confident Fuku Tea locations around Pittsburgh. I tried their small pineapple smoothie with the popping yogurt bubbles.
It was definitely very good. You can control your sweetness level, so if you want a healthier drink, just opt for low sweetness. There's even an 'extra sweet' option some places don't have. I just opted for regular sweetness. Such a variety of different add one, from the boba pearls to the yogurt to jellies...it's great! Good amount of milk options too. I went with regular 2%.
The drink was very good. A bit expensive, but nothing crazy. In line with other options for portion and price. The yogurt pearls were amazing, with a slight tart but still sweet burst every time I tried them. The pineapple was refreshing and not too icy.
All in all, I definitely recommend this place. It's especially good when the weather is warm outside. There are a wide variety of add ins and an option for nearly anyone. Boba lovers will likely...
Read moreThis is my first review, but my experience was sooo disappointing that I couldn't hold myself to not to write this.
It is my first time at Fuku-Tea and I came to this place after I had dinner on my first dating anniversary and they managed to ruin the whole joy of the night.
I ordered a mango-guava bubble tea with "light sweetness" (as they call it on the menu). Since I dislike super-sweet stuff, I am very peculiar to have my drinks lightly sweetened.
After getting the order and having a sip, since it was too sweet, I asked one of the employee to change it and she refused to do so. She said the syrups are already sweet and that is why the whole thing was too sweet. So watch out if you have diabetes cause you their unsweetened tea would give you a sugar rush!
I asked for the manager and they just consulted with somebody behind the wall and got back to me that NO they can't change the drink.
Considering that I only had a sip and considering the cheap price of a bubble-tea it is such a disappointment that they made a big deal out of it. I am not gonna even elaborate on their attitude as that was another story for itself. This was definitely...
