I wouldn’t give any stars if I didn’t have to in order to post the review. We ordered a pizza for delivery last night. Upon opening the box once inside, my husband grabbed a slice and put it on his plate. I realized it was a totally different pizza than what we ordered. When I called, the guy asked if I wanted to keep the pizza or bring me s new one, to which I replied that I wanted a new pizza. I specifically told him that I wanted a fresh pizza made and not to bring the one back that had been riding around for 40 minutes. He offered to throw in some mozzarella sticks. 20 minutes or so later, driver arrives with pizza. The other guy calls from store and says to bring the other pizza with us to give back to driver and that he was sending mozzarella sticks with different driver. I explained to driver why there was piece missing. The owner or manager then calls me yelling because we took a slice out of pizza. He was going to have the driver deliver that pizza that had sat in my house for 30 minutes! It quickly became clear that he didn’t make us a fresh pizza but sent driver back to the other house to retrieve my original pizza and Zane to get the one meant for them with intent to deliver it! I don’t normally complain about bad food but this is a practice that is very dangerous to the health of the public. I don’t know who had that pizza or what they did with it while they had it. Read moreI have been going to Gennaro's pizza for the past 7 yrs. I almost always order the chicken ranchero hoagie w extra meat. It used to be my favorite thing to eat in the southside. I would order twice a week at times. The hoagie used to come with big chunks of chicken and they used to put plenty of it on especially when I ordered it with extra meat. Sometime during covid they started completely skimping on the quantity of chicken on the hoagie and if I would ask for extra chicken like usual they would just chop it up into smaller pieces and not put any extra Chicken on the hoagie they just put more fries on instead. And it then becomes basically just a carbohydrate bomb. They took advantage of my business and maybe they were upset that I was ordering too much and felt like they were losing money or something I don't know but they changed their bread also which now becomes super dry when baked Cuts your mouth when eating it. I gave these guys so much money over the years and they rewarded Me by skimping on my hoagie. I would tip them well and everything these guys just don't value customer service or their customers in general. I would recommend going to slice on Broadway any day of the week over this dump. Read moreNever ordering from them again. It’s one thing to mess up an order one time but multiple times. This evening I ordered a simple cheese pizza well it came 45 minutes later with pepperoni. I call to let them know. They offered to send another but I was not waiting another 45 minutes to eat. So I asked for my money back. I was told that I would receive a refund within 4 business days. Then 45 minutes later I receive a text from a number I do not know (very unprofessional) telling me that they are coming to get this pizza they messed up. At this point I threw the pizza away and had left my home to get food. So I let them know and they replied okay. THEN another 45 minutes later I receive a call from a different guy leaving me a voicemail that I need to return the pizza in order to get my money back?!? I was never told I needed to return the pizza so I threw it away. Long story short I was initially told I would get a refund, took pictures of the pizza, and threw it out.
