Came here with a couple friends after a concert around midnight. Now unless you're looking to pay $17 to watch 6 hard-working, devout, pizza-making machines brew up pizzas by the 10's and stack them onto an ever-slightly snapping wooden shelf at the back of the kitchen--then you're in the wrong place. This place was pretty busy so we expected the food to be pretty decent and the overall establishment to serve us well. We were far from correct...we ordered at exactly 11:38 pm after waiting in line for about 5 minutes. The worker behind the counter who surprisingly actually came out of his pizza-making rhythm to take our order told us it'll be about 20 minutes until the pie is ready, so we sat down and patiently waited. 20 minutes came by, we made our way through the swarm of other people waiting for pizzas and the guy told us itll be another 20 mins. The irony here is that firstly, we happened to notice that the several people who had orders in front of our happened to not even get their pizzas yet. Long story short, this place was just spamming out pizzas like no tomorrow, handing them out to no one, refusing to come to the counter to answer peoples questions regarding the longevity of their orders, and best of all, when asked about getting a refund would simply tell some of the people in front of us "wait" and then just walk away and never come back. After a while we ending up striking up conversation with the other patrons complaining about how terrible the service is here, and at this point its been well over an hour since we placed our order (we've gone into the next day already), and finally the same guy who has been refusing to answer any customers questions and just decided to start handing out pizzas out of nowhere. As customers' order numbers were called all the patrons and us would start clapping in a congratulatory manner once they received their pizza. When I started realizing all of these customers, even people after us started getting their pizzas before us (especially considering we only orderd a medium pizza with pepperoni), I had to forcefully beckon the guy to ask where my medium pepperoni pizza is, this time he actually decided to answer my question, and all of a sudden the guy turned around, looked under some shelf in the kitchen, grabbed a box, and lo and behold its this pizza we ordered nearly an hour and a half ago that apparently has been ready for the last 30 minutes except they refused to give it to us until this present moment simply because they'd rather spam out pizzas by the hundreds without even handing them out to anyone in an efficient way!!!!! Last but not least, after opening the medium pepperoni pizza, there were about 4 pepperoni slices and the pizza was simply average. This genuinely felt like something out of a Seinfeld episode. Point of the story, unless you feel like wasting an hour and 30 minutes at an average pizza place in the middle of downtown Pittsburgh instead of getting some well-deserved sleep, don't...
Read moreThis is the second time i ordered food for delivery. I ordered a Steak and Ranch sandwich. For $10 it was bread + steak + fries+ something making the bread moist but had no taste. Didnt like it. Was bland.
This time, i tried a different approach. Steak and Ranch, Lettuce, Tomato, Onions, Extra Mayo and Extra Ranch. First off the price. $1.49 per vegitable? Are you serious? Meats, cheeses, sure... but basic vegitables? really? That must be some darn good vegitables. Half the lettuce was rotten, dark brown. Gagged a bit. Onions were sparse to medium in quantity, tomatoes, there were 4 slices. Running a tomato through a slicer, on a average tomarto will yeild what? 10 slices? Cost for a Tomato? almost nothing. At least put enough tomato on there so each piece touches. After inspecting and noticing the 4 smaller tomato slices, i consumed the sandwich.
It had a bit more ranch, but the extra ranch came in a side cup, and the mayo came in packets. Added half ranch to each half and 1 packet to each half. This time it had taste. For some reason, it reminded me of Mutton, but not sure why.
The second time the sandwich tasted FAR better despite the rot in comparison to last time, but that isnt saying much. I paid well over $15 for something that shouldve cost 10 or less.
Delievery was within an hour or so, so it wasnt bad.
I dont reccomend it. Over priced for crappier bar food. You can get better tasting, better for you, cheaper food at most other places. I just didnt want to judge a book by its first impression so i had to give it another shot. Im fair.
WILL NOT BUY AGAIN, dont reccomend to...
Read moreThe manager is EXTREMELY rude!! We called and ordered 2 steak salads. 1 with no mushroom, onion or green pepper. The second one with no green pepper or onion. We get the salads and they both have everything but green pepper...I normally wouldn't say anything and pick them off but my child cannot eat mushrooms due to a mild allergy and once they are mixed thru the salad its just impossible. So No big deal right? I have in the past called places with a problem every so often and they happily made & delivered the right order or gave credit...So I call Genoa back and start to explain to the guy that takes the orders what the problem was and he immediately cut me off and started saying it was not his fault I'm the one who messed up. (Normally I might question myself BUT I placed the order in a room full of family who heard me specify) So I say as he is arguing with me can I please speak to the manager and apparently it was him which was shocking because of how rude and unprofessional he was. So after going back and forth he says "So what do you want? You want a new salad then?" And I said yes that would be fine and he says "dont touch the other salad I want to see it" like im lying or something?! But anyways he AGAIN tells me im wrong but he will send another salad. At this point I basically told him to Shove the salad where the sun dont shine and hung up. I will NEVER call this place again and I will tell anyone and everyone I can; to...
