This place was an absolute strikeout. My group of six came here to eat on 6/18/25. My son was playing in an event at Highmark Stadium and had 3 hours between games, so we took the short walk to this restaurant to grab something to eat between. We sat ourselves and Noted it took quite a while to get a server. Once we did, everyone ordered hamburgers, except one personal pizza, and one grilled chicken sandwich. When we got there there were only 3 other booths with 4 people max in each. 2 kids playing pool and 2 couples at the bar. The kids playing pool had already had their food. The couples at the bar came and went, never ordering food. There were 4 waitresses/bartenders and one cook. So basically I server per table. Over an hour and we still never received food or an update. We had asked at this point and told it was coming. 15 minutes later inquired and was told the pizza was just about ready and burgers were on the grill. We explained it had been just shy of 2 hours at this point and we would not have the time to eat it, and refused the food. As we were getting ready to leave they brought a bag of food to the table and a bill. Food we refused and a bill for the entire original cost. We were in such a hurry we had to pay and run. We tried to eat on the walk, having to throw 3 of the 4 burgers away and all the fries, as the venue does not allow outside food. By far the worst service, dingy atmosphere, and the food wasn’t even good. How do you mess up burgers and pizza? Pizza was swimming in oil and burgers were clearly boxed frozen patties on crumbly dry buns. Horrible experience absolutely disregarded by staff. In response to the reply from the business… There were 4 employees who kept going behind the bar. 2 waitresses that had stopped at our table, and 2 others that had not. No one identified themselves as a waitress or bartender but they were all back there at some point. When we arrived, only the booths acrossed the front window were occupied, when we left, not another table was occupied. And as stated, the individuals at the bar and playing pool who either did not eat or had their food. We brought the issue up with our waitress, who could have been the manager, who would know, and we were told, “yeah, I don’t know why they would have such a small kitchen.” There was certainly not a lot of people in the establishment. The kitchen is simply not equipped to run the menu presented and the staff, though kind enough, do not communicate expectations. Had someone said food would take an hour, we would not have ordered. Instead of apologizing for a terrible experience and bad food, it seems the individual responding to this is poorly equipped for appropriate customer service...
Read moreWife and I stopped in with the intention of eating lunch. When we sat down there was one other couple besides us sitting at tables. The rest of the customers were sitting at the bar. This was on Saturday 09/16/17 the weekend of the home opener for the Steelers against the Vikings. The customers at the bar were mostly Vikings fans that had wandered in as a group. After sitting for approximately 5-10 minutes before someone decided it pertinent to wait on us a female employee came over and said we'd have to sit at the bar if we wanted to order because she had too many tables already... There was one couple besides us.
Needless to say I walked out with my wife and we went elsewhere. Two tables with a total of four people is too many tables? Attending to the Vikings fans first and trying to force us to sit with their obnoxious group? C'mon, nothing against visiting fans but I don't want to sit at a bar with a bunch of them.
That's not even mentioning the risiculously loud music. It's lunch time, not dinner, and it's not busy does the music really have to be so loud you can barely talk to a person standing right next to you?
Honestly, I don't expect to get waited on immediately at a bar/grille. Nor was I trying to hurry them, the server could have taken as much time as was needed, but telling us two small tables is too many after we sat there patiently waiting was...
Read moreIncredibly disappointed by how this place ended up. I've been coming here since it was a smoking bar and I always loved it. It's THE industry bar in town it's a little bit of a dive but I love dive Bars. This place now is just poor service and nasty bar tenders. They start by taking my card when we get drinks and never gave it back. Around 2320 we asked if the kitchen was open since the signs and menus said "kitchen open late". The bartenders told us it was open for 20 more minutes and threw menus at us. They never asked for our orders nor did they respond to me asking if I could order. The angry bartender just ripped the menus away from us with a scowling look on her face. I really don't care if it was getting too late for food just don't give us the menus maybe? After trying to get the bartenders attention for 10min I finally asked to tab out and they just handed me a receipt. They took my card about 40min ago and acted like they didn't know what I was talking about. They gave everyone else at the bar their cards back after opening a tab so why was I different? I hate to say it but this place isn't worth stopping into anymore with this total...
