I gave this bar 1 star to draw attention to my comment. I would actually give it 3 stars solely on the service provided by the female bartender (I wish i had got her name), the mix drinks/prices, and the music/vibe. It was my first time visiting this bar on Sunday 11/5 after 9. I'm not from Pittsburgh area. My cousin suggested this bar so we meet & catch up. It wasnt great experience at first though (do to shorter male bartender) we were toward the end of bar closer to restroom where he had been working. He never acknowledged us and we tried to call him (at first we gave benefit of doubt, like maybe he didn't hear us & he serving others). We were only one sitting without drinks. We were there for at least 20mins just chatting n waiting to get some drinks. I get it busy and I understand customer service but he had his favorites. He literally took money from people directly behind us. When I basically addressed him not mean but just a serious tone like "excuse me are we going to get served, we want to get served" He replied "so you think yall can just walk into the bar and get served" we didn't just walk in we been there a bit. I was in shock so I didn't really go in on him but I said we been sitting and basically I'm just saying, he proceeds to keep it going saying "and i'm just saying!" "Don't roll your eyes at me". Which I never did if anything I looked over at my cousin like you hear. So I didn't go off cuz he wasn't gonna mess up my night any more than he did so he continues to serve everyone around us and even ppl who just walked in. He was purposely from the beginning not trying to serve us as though he had an attitude or like he had an imaginary problem with us. We even had a couple offer to pay for a row of shots for us and he came to them and he never got the shots. He had business lose money and us not getting a shot before they left. It wasn't until we got the female bartender attention was working most of the other end of bar who served us. She was sweet, talkative and made great drinks. She saved the night! She deserves a raise. The spot is nice but one dude he needs to go! No customer service skills. Don't want to do his job and some of the off the wall stuff he says I heard him say to...

" All are welcome at Lefty's" I'm adding to my original post. It is with a heavy heart and great sadness to see that Lefty's on the Strip is closing. My wife and I visited for the last time on Saturday January 25 and it was a blast. Magic happens at Lefty's! You can be worth 10 million dollars or have 10 bucks in your pocket and everyone will treat you with warmth and love there. Lefty's cuts across socio-economic lines, political parties, race, gender, and ethnicity all in the vein of having a great time. You were always guaranteed to make friend there. I still have friends to this day from the original time I walked into Lefty's over 16 years ago for their world famous , "Strong Island". If you took the microcosm of Lefty's and made it a macrocosm, what a wonderful world it would be. Lefty's affectionately known as Pittsburgh best dive time bar was a Strip District icon and will be forever none to me as a place of happiness, harmony, good cheer, and tremendous libations. I'm saddened to see you go and hoping Lefty's on the Northside can keep the charm going. Let's continue to...
Read moreThe bartender that worked the night of 2/26/25 is a thief and a liar. Beware when you give him money, he will say he gave it back to you. Then when I questioned him again, he lied and said he saw me on camera and I never gave him cash. When I asked to see the video he said he didn't have it. I said it's is that serious here is your money and gave him $7. Then I found out he put it on my tab at the end of the night as well. I ended up paying over $15 for one white claw..beware of your tab and cash. It's a shame because the...
