I’m going against the grain here but Tour Les Mid isn’t all that spectacular. This place is reminiscent of Paris Baguette with the self serve dessert trays and the premium options behind a glass. I’m not a huge fan of Paris Baguette and was hoping Tour Les Mid was going to be better but everything I tried was painfully average. The Choco Ganache Cake was chalky. Drier than a biscuit. I don’t think a dessert should stick to your mouth the way that does. The Lemon Donut was decent. My problem with lemon flavored things is it’s hard to have the flavor balanced. I felt like the lemon filling was too overwhelming sweet in taste to combat the acidity of the lemon taste. As someone who has had enjoyable chocolate cake, I felt as though this one was again, average. In fact, I found it chocolately for the sake of being chocolately and I wish it was more balance. I was most disappointed with the mango cloud cake. Not because it was the worst of the bunch (it was top 2). But because in all its decorative glory, the taste was again, underwhelming. If the cloud in the name means the cake is supposed to be light in taste, then I get what they’re going for. However, it just felt like a vanilla cake with subtle hints of mango rather than a cake where the mango taste was distinct. Not saying it’s a bad bakery. The crossiants and the matcha was really good (hard to go wrong with crossiants) but for all of its galore, I was disappointed at how many of the deserts were just average

Very, very nice pastry shop! They combine numerous different cultures under one roof — both Asian and French pastries can be found at this place, and both are expertly made. I got to try out their cocoa hazelnut croissant and mango cream donut. Both were very delicious. The croissant was perfectly buttery and flaky, but not excessively so. The inside was packed with a great amount of chocolate. The hazelnut flavor wasn’t very strong (I would have liked a bit more), but still, very nice. The mango donut was absolutely delicious. Served in fancy packaging too. Stuffed with an incredible amount of mango cream. I wish I got a photo! It was very tasty, and the dough itself was light, covered in sugar, and delicious. I would definitely recommend. All in all, the prices are a little bit high, but the quality makes up for it. Some of the tastiest treats out there in the city. I’d recommend this spot!

I have been wanting to try tous les jours for awhile and sadly I have not been able to make it there as its hard for me to get out sometimes. So I finally decided instead to get delivery on a saturday night. I ordered from door dash around 8pm and my delivery arrived around 920pm. I was really excited to see they had a mystery box of 5 pastries for 9.95. I'm not sure if it's available every night (or if you can order in person), but it seems to appear an hour or two before closing on doordash. So I ordered the mystery box and an apple caramel pastry with the intent to save it for easter sunday as I planned to watch the notre dame paris cathedral easter service online. My items in the mystery box were a croissant, blueberry cream cheese danish, spinach and feta danish, pain au chocolat, almond croissant. I was so happy one of the mystery pastries was savory and was the spinach and feta. It was a pastry I had been wanting to try. I had it for breakfast easter morning and it reheated well. I had the croissant for lunch and it was a nice complimented to my soup. I was surprised how light and airy the croissant was and it also reheated very well. It tasted like it just came out of the oven and i imagine it would pair with cream cheese nicely. It felt like I was eating a cloud or cotton candy in bread form. I really wanted to try an Ube latte. It looked very pretty and beautifully purple, but I wasnt sure if it had caffeine or not. I didnt see a decaf option or if this version was made with or without coffee. Ive read it can be made with or without coffee. I did see decaf options for other lattes though. I also wasnt sure if it would save well overnight for breakfast so i just skipped it. Everything looked beautiful and made my easter celebration more delightful. So glad...

Since opening I have been there twice and spent over $100 between those two visits. Of all the things I tried the garlic Parmesan croissant was by far the best at an 8/10. Almond croissant was a 5/10. The apple mount blanc was a 4/10. Butter cream brad was a 3/10 to me,but like a 7/10 according to my mother. We tried a variety of the pastries and breads but not the cloud cak and I didn't think anything was out of this world. Le Gourmandine is much better on the whole for my taste. One thing that drove me crazy was that they wrap each pastry in a single use plastic bag but then want to charge you 10 cents for a paper bag. Especially when you spend over $50 dollars a visit, I feel like they could forego the dime, ban or no ban. I literally had more than two dozen pastries wrapped in tiny plastic bags! How are they allowed to use those and still charge a damn dime for the paper bag? Ridiculous. Anyway, if you are going to try it don't go before like 9 because nothing is out yet despite...
