Oh my goodness I’m appalled at the lack of organization, cleanliness, condiments and bathroom facilities. We ordered off the 2/$30. Menu we ordered the 6oz 🥩 steaks. One steak was prepared correctly the other overcooked. The broccoli 🥦 actually had dirt on the bottom of the stalk. The server stated the restaurant was completely out of A1 sauce, so the options were ketchup or Heinz 57. I actually had to get ketchup off another table because ours was empty. I walked to three tables looking for a ketchup bottle that wasn’t empty. The server was busy with other tables. The floors were filthy ( French fries, napkins, other food all over) the servers just walked right through the mess. I’m posting a photo of the mess that I was seated near. The men’s room was just Dirty. The facilities were dirty. The host was not friendly, had a nonchalant attitude. He walked through the mess on the floor escorting customers right through it. From lack of condiments, to a messy restaurant and uncaring attitude of staff, I can’t rate this higher than a one. The manager of this restaurant should be embarrassed and ashamed of his/ her restaurant and needs to be retrained on what a good restaurant should look like and operate it. Funny the restaurant management wrote a response, reaching out to me. The actual manager from the restaurant sent me an email to get in touch, and discuss the situation. I agreed to speak to the store manager personally, gave my phone number, email address and said I looked forward to discussing the issue in person. No contact was made! Which shows the problem in the restaurant is the MANAGEMENT team. If you’re reading this I highly suggest any other Applebee’s in the state. This location DOES NOT follow through which shows lack of caring about customers and their...
Read moreI’m going to give four stars as a whole since I come here fairly often and tend to receive good service, however sometimes there is a bit of a tendency for some staff to not check in very often and we’ll be waiting for the bill for a bit before I end up going up to the bar and asking for the check, even if I come earlier in the day.
I genuinely do understand though that working in service is tough and I appreciate the staff. I’ve never had an outright bad experience here and most of the staff are kind. I’ve been coming here for years and had such a great experience yesterday after coming by myself for the first time and wanted to write a review.
I went in yesterday for a late lunch and everyone was really sweet. I believe my server’s name was Brittany and she was really sweet and attentive which is genuinely truly appreciated. Also had tattoos which was cool! Food was delicious as always and I feel like is averagely priced compared to similar restaurants.
I love that Applebee’s participates in the Touch Tunes app as well since it’s always fun to change up the vibe. I put on some Chappell Roan (I’m honestly kind of surprised Naked in Manhattan is on there haha).
All in all, I definitely recommend Applebee’s. Solid but decently diverse menu, delicious drinks (I love the seasonal ones and always await the new releases) and overall pretty reasonable prices as a whole, especially the cocktails. Only about $5 or $6 and they are pretty big and you can always add a shooter for a slight bump in price.
It’s genuinely a good vibe and one of my favorite...
Read moreOn July 28, 2025, I was denied service at the Ypsilanti Applebee’s. The manager, Paul, told me I had been accused of saying a homophobic slur, along with “a bunch of other things he couldn’t say out loud.” I was shocked — not only because I completely deny ever saying anything of the sort, but because this was the first time I was hearing about any such allegation.
I was denied service and asked to leave based on what appears to be an unverified, undocumented complaint from the past — possibly from a staff member. I was never informed of this allegation before it was used to justify denying me entry, and I was given no opportunity to respond or defend myself.
This situation raises serious concerns — not just about false accusations, but also about accountability, due process, and potential civil rights violations under Michigan’s public accommodation laws. I’ve formally requested the name of the individual who made the claim and am pursuing the matter through the appropriate legal channels.
I’m posting this so others are aware of how damaging it can be when a business acts on private accusations without any transparency or fairness. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and truth — not...
