My wife and I went to Red Robin tonight after doing some shopping. We were tired and both of us wanted hamburgers for dinner.
The restaurant was not especially busy probably because we got there a little after 8:00 p.m. We were promptly greeted at the door and then escorted to our table.
A few minutes later our server came to our table and took our drink order. I asked her what her name was and she said her name was Myce.
After we both ordered our iced teas, we also asked for a tower of onion rings to start with. Myce brought us our drinks and moments later the manager brought us our onion rings. Right behind him, Myce had plates and silverware.
The Onion rings were hot, crunchy, and delicious!
We ordered our burgers and Myce asked how we'd like them cooked. No pink, yet juicy. Sometimes that translates to cooked over-well to almost burned.
Not tonight! Our burgers were truly cooked to perfection! They were cooked through yet super juicy and Delicious. The chef seasoned the beef while it was cooking so we didn't end up with flavorless beef patties on our burgers. Both of our burgers came with candied bacon which was also super delicious!
While we were seated, our drinks were never empty. Myce brought by refill glasses as soon as she noticed they were down to the last bit in the glass. She asked us to keep our straw and we were given a clean glass with fresh iced tea in it.
We asked to see the manager because we were so thoroughly pleased with the dining experience that we had to share it with him that his crew was doing an exceptional job given the challenges of resources that don't come to work. We sent our compliments to the chef as well because our burgers were not only cooked to perfection but they were assembled in such a way that they were appetizing.
We've all received hamburgers that look like the chefs had a bun in each hand and they caught all the toppings in mid-air by slapping their hands together. Not tonight, our burgers were picture perfect! They looked so appetizing, I forgot to take pictures of our burgers!
Great job Red Robin...
Read moreSo very disappointed with Red Robin on Carpenter Rd! My daughter turned 12 today and every year, since she turned 3, she chooses Red Robin for her birthday dinner. We love Red Robin and have been there many times, but I will not be back to this one! I called mid week to say we had a party of 25 arriving on Saturday at 6:30. I was told to give my name, number and # in party, so I did. I was told there was no actual call ahead seating or reservations, BUT, was told we would have a minimal wait, 10-15 mins, because the manager would know what to expect. Ok, that's reasonable. I called to confirm, today, was hung up on the first time, mid conversation. I called back, got the same guy, was told my info was there and the staff was aware. Not true! We get there and I'm told 45 mins to an hour wait, really! I asked to speak to the manager and that was useless! He told me that I should have sent someone in 30 mins before we wanted to be seated and that when I called to leave my name I should have asked to speak to a manger, really! I guess that manager needs to enlighten his staff on what they are to do when a customer like me calls! Not once did the manager even try to accommodate us! We had a party of 25 people ready to drink and eat! Not only did Red Robin lose some $, but they ticked 25 people off! Now, the Red Robin on State St., kudos to them for trying to accommodate a large party!! Maybe that manager needs to assist at Carpenter Rd! For sake of travel time , we ended up going to Applebee's, next door. They moved tables around and really made it awesome for my daughter's birthday and our large group! Customer service is...
Read moreDined in May 1st for dinner. The food was good, food runners really nice only complaint was how our server treated us. She rushed us to order. She was not attentive to us because we were her last table. Didn't know her name but she had blue hair. I understand when your cut/done your trying to do your work so you can go but as a server myself, you should never make the customer feel rushed because you want to leave. She asked if we were "thinking" about boxes before I even started on my entree, still eating my "bottomless " salad, that when I asked for 1 more, she looked down at my plate first before saying anything. But the best part was.. we got 2 desserts.. so that had us there LONGER.. and as I'm going to pay the $106 bill.. she asks if we want a box for the rest of our dessert, I told her no and as I sat there with my wallet out she literally took the rest of our dessert from our table, our last plate on the table, and WE were NOT done! She didn't ask if we were done, she just took it. It was really rude as one server to another. We were not there for hours, your section was not full and we are NOT needy. I tip well and understand our job can be a lot but you should probably reconsider how you treat your "last" tables because I honestly could "feel" how unwanted we were from the time we sat down and carried through our meal but taking our "a little less then half" of our dessert off our table was 👌 You still got $15 even though you should have got $0 for your service. Being your last table, I was understanding of you being ready to go but you...
