Spanky's Pizza — Restaurant in Placerville

This place absolutely gets a thumbs up from me. The ingredients were of great quality, the food was prepared excellently, and the staff were as friendly as could be. If you're looking for crispy crust on a pizza that isn't burnt, this is the place to go!

My one and only complaint is that the atmosphere of the restaurant was a little bit run-down. Everything was serviceable, but just looked worn out. Unlike other places I've eaten, however, I genuinely do not feel like this issue is born out of a lack of care on the Staffs' side. They seem to really care about the location, and do the best with what they've got.

Best pizza in Northern California!! Pool tables and jukebox music and the old building give it a feel like the pizza parlors I grew up with! One dollar per rack in pool. That's like 1960's prices! There's a bar connected to the pizza parlor, but it's laid-back, and they have multiple screens for watching sporting events. I don't drink but I have sat in and watched a few from time to time. The owners and the employees are very cool! I highly recommend whether it's dine-in or takeout, again, emphasis on this is the best tasting...

Spanky's definitely lives up to all the other reviews. What a hidden gem; it's like stepping back in time with the nostalgia of the place, the game room downstairs and the friendliness of the service. The pizza is out of this world, a delicious thin crust, perfectly melted cheese without a ton of grease, just the right amount of tomato sauce, and fresh toppings, in this case chicken and mushrooms....
